dont talk crap, u don't win 43 fights if u have no defence and all u can do is body punch. He has a high ko ratio and most of them have not been from body punches so he must be good at something else.
Joe is a good fighter, will he achieve as much as Hatton does in his career, I would say no

You have put nothing in plain english. Absolutely nothing. There were certain no "points" made either.

Anyway, as you just asked, I think Calzaghe is simply a very special boxer. Hatton, world class and P4P fighter that he is, just isn't as good. It's not a slight on Hatton, it's just fact.

i think its obvious to anyone who has actualy seen these two fight 5 or more fights each...the more gifted fighter is calzaghe.Speed, and Elegance is what he has....obviously he has the ability to fight dirty when needs be....on the other hand...although Rickys obvious got some talent..i think he is where he is in world boxing right now..out of sheer work rate/will power..obviously he has skill..but i think the over riding factor is his ability to make best of what he has got.

On the other hand Calzaghe...who was simply known as a knock out artist in his younger days...has cultivated a very watchable style when he is on song. When joe gets hit, and he feels it..then he can also lose his head and **** with the best of them..which to me makes him the more complete, and impressive fighter.

The guy who said Hatton has a poor defense...and Calzaghe has a good one..was on point. Hatton..although not the worst defense ever....it isnt great..i can think of a number of fights where his face is mashed up afterwoods...but i can only really hink of the Bika fight..when Calzaghe was cut for the first time in his career from a headbutt, as the only time he looked 'messed up'...after a fight.

When fighters are not in direct competition with each other..i.e in the same weight classes,or just a weight class or perhaps 2 between them..they show alot more respect...like in this case...with Mayweather saying Calzaghe is the truth...how any fighters have you heard Mayweather say that about?

this is just some pointless quote to get British boxing fans arguing amongst each other. Pretty bad attempt by Mayweather actually. Then again he isn`t the most switched on person i`ve ever heard speak. Two totally different fighters from different weight divisions. Good one Mayweather.
