it was BS meaning that a shot castillio took a dive. not only was he shot, but he took a dive as well. not to take anything from hatton or nothing. hatton did a great job on his part.

      Dwiens quote:

"What is the point of Floyd unloading the USSR's whole nuclear arsenal on Baldomir's chin? It's not going to dent him, at all, so what is the ****ing point?"

Well, I think it would be more appropriately compared to Mexico's whole nuclear arsenal.... But, you cannot blame Floyd for not exchanging with Baldomir, when Baldomir can be so plainly beaten with good boxing skills. That observation cannot be extended to Oscar however. Oscar was gassed at the end of his fight with Floyd, and Floyd still stayed away to outpoint for a very close decision. The crowd booed like hell over it. It was ironic that the judges handed Oscar his first defeat for doing the same thing to Trinidad, although Trinidad wasn't gassed.

But, I'm looking for that Trinidad-Oscar fight mentality from the judges in the upcoming Hatton-Floyd fight.

The only thing that made it easier for that to happen was Jose Luis had absolutely no balance that whole fight, meaning that it was easier for Ricky to connect, but Ricky threw a perfect body shot. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with robbing fighters of their glory for their victories.

Castillo was a shot item when he fought Hatton.

Hatton fought the fight of his life (which turned out to be total overkill).

So who cares? Hatton didn't play down to the level of his opposition and put forth a ****ty performance, he did exactly what he should have.

        Congratulations to Hatton.
God Dwiens, you will never give up on this fight. lol

"Congratulations Hatton! You beat a washed up fighter and it was the fight of your life!"

Castillo was not "washed up." Maybe, just maybe the problem was Ricky Hatton. Ribs don't get broken because they are "washed up." Ribs get broken when they get hit real hard.

Evidence please that Ricky broke Castillo's ribs.

Well normally I would agree with you, but every time Floyd threw a punch at Oscar, he gave him one more potential chance to land his crushing left hook. If the fight was at a lower weight, it would be gravy, but he was two weight classes up from where he should be. That's why accuracy was more important than workrate for Floyd to win the Oscar fight.

The point is that Floyd ran from Oscar the whole night and barely won a split decision. I think this translates into Floyd running from Hatton, as the poll agrees by 95% to 5%.

There is a BIG difference between running and effective movement using your footwork while constantly busting somebody in the face with counter punches.

                    EXAMPLES

Oscar vs Tito in the last 4rds = Running

Floyd vs Corrales all night long = Effective running

By the 8th round Ricky will think this to himself "God I wish floyd would start really running like me promoter Oscar did in 1999, my face is falling apart, I can't take this anymore"
