Why do the haters still underestimate Pavlik ?

I can't believe all the morons on this board that still think Pavlik is a one dimensional brawler who isn't athletic enough to be a long term champ. I made a Pavlik vs Hopkins Poll and to my surprise more people on this board are picking the 43 year old Hopkins over the prime 25 year old monster Pavlik. I guess you Hopkins nuthuggers forgot that Pavlik's ***** Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins twice. Pavlik outboxed Taylor and was outjabbing him before he knocked Taylor out. Pavlik is a very smart, versatile and athletic fighter. He is also a monster puncher with a great jab and he is very technically sound.

Pavlik will easily KO the gunshy Taylor in the rematch and then we will have a massive superfight between Pavlik and Hopkins. Hopkins has no chance in this fight, his only victory will be surviving 12 rounds, but that won't happen.

Pavlik vs Taylor ll - Pavlik KO 5

    Pavlik vs Hopkins - Pavlik KO/TKO 9

Because he looks slow, unathletic and he isn't ripped like some fighters. But the guy has heart and packs a punch. At this point in his career he just wins and usually by KO.

I ain't a nuthugger, Pavlik is my 2nd favourite fighter next to Wlad and I am kind of upset about the lack of respect he is getting on this forum. People actually think an old man that is soon gonna be in a nursing home will beat Pavlik. I have even heard morons saying Pavlik vs Hopkins will be a replay of Hopkins vs Trinidad.

He's just one of those guys that will never get the respect he deserves from some fans. He isnt the best boxer in the world, and relies so much on power, which may be part of the reason he is underappreciated. Hard to say. He will ko Taylor faster in the rematch and the talk after will be more about claiming Taylor to be a shot fighter then it will be about Pavlik being the real deal. I hate to think its cause hes white, I would like to hope that in 2007 most boxing fans arent full on ******s.

Go ahead, pull out the race card. I don't need to hype up Pavlik because he is already the UNDISPUTED MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. The haters on here seem to forget that Pavlik is the Real Deal.

I think it's you who underestimates how good (yes even at 43) Bernard Hopkins is. Pavlik's skinny 15 year old boy body wouldn't be able to take Bernard's abuse. Every time Jermain went to the body, which wasn't very often, he was effective against Kelly. Hopkins loves getting dirty on the inside with bodyshots. By the 8th round Pavlik's ribcage is going to be so sore, he won't hardly be able to breathe. And Bernard is still an evasive ****. He's still in phenominal condition. He still has an iron chin. He moves real intelligently around the ring, and ties his opponents up when the **** gets too thick. Bernard made mistakes against Taylor that he won't ever make again. No excuses, buy c'mon he was killing Jermain in the second half of the first fight. He should still be the middleweight champion, honestly. Anyway, Bernard Hopkins is not losing to Kelly Pavlik. And take no credit away, but there are fighters in this sport who are too much for him. Jermain Taylor is the ceiling for Kelly Pavlik. Any higher, and he's in over his head.
