Well naturally this thread is very hyped up. Some guys train this hard and just flat get KOd. But yes, I do think Hatton will win and I think Floyd will be in for the roughest night of his entire life. Rougher than the first Castillo fight...

Boxing is science and is a speed sport in principle , when training youngsters you teach them to hit and not be hit and speed is that games best asset ,,, now the real world variables come in it too of course especially at championship level , but speed and skill will win more than brawn most of the time ,, but the basics is hit and dont be hit ,, if you Wiley had ever put on gloves and just frequented a fight gym you would know this , but your an armchair expert so you live on and in the hype of boxing .Comment

This I can agree with....
If youre going to just use power as your argument as to why hatton is going to win, then fine, but there is a reason guys back off of pbf after a few rounds, why would DLH just stand there in the later rounds and look at floyd in the center of the ring, why would baldomir look so discouraged after round 2 against floyd? those guys are bigger punchers than hatton, bigger individuals than hatton and have proven chins, yet failed to even engage him as their fights drew on, there were times when DLH just looked at floyd doing ****ing nothing for all that ineffective aggression he was giving.
Most of the ones who fought Floyd, reverted to the respect mode after feeling the sting of his punches.
In Floyd's chess matches, when the fighter finds himself missing the big punches and gets caught with the stinging counters throughout the night,...
...they tend to respect Floyd a little more than they had imagined.
Which was the case with Oscar and Baldy.Comment

Oscar didn't respect Floyd that much. He just got afraid that he would tire out. He didn't have faith in his stamina, or his jab, even though it was working. Floyd was only part of the explanation.Comment

Remind me to bump this thread on the 9th. It is good to know Hatton is working as hard as ever, it will be a fight for the ages for sure.Comment

In regards to fighting a squared up fighter like Hatton Floyd is not nailed to the floor like KT was and Floyd can fight going backwards as good as on the front foot something else Kostya could not do and the reason Hatton and Phillips beat him ,, Floyd is waaaay different he has movement and speed that Ricky has never came close to seeing .Comment
