Even if Mayweather fought "The peoples fight" or tried to expell himself in the ring there would be some sort of critique. If he did not have an impact on boxing then why would critics and lay-boxing fans alike have countless view points of him. Negative and positive views/comments are parallel in one aspect > it keeps him RELEVANT.

Sometimes you have to let the chips fall as they may. "popularity' will not relinquish his accomplishment nor will it deter him from the hall of fame.

But, Jack Dempsey he will never be. So what is he fighting for? There is a one word answer....money. That's ok, but he'll won't be remembered except in the statistics, not at this rate anyway. Hopefully he'll try and finish his career without a tutu.

ALL fighters wish to have those aspirations. I's that not the goal? IF YOUR STATS ARE RECOGNIZED THEN YOU HAVE DONE YOUR JOB, BECAUSE THE NAME IS SYNONYMOUS WITH THE STATISTICS

Boring UDs against average competition should never be recognized in anyone's book.

As a boxing fan 1st then a PBF fan that pretty much explains the criticism he recieves. Completely understandable. I disagree with it but who cares. What bothers me is ppl denying the man's ability he is the best in this era period! But like RJJ he continues to seek approval of his critics and may end up biting off more than he can physically handle. Despite that he is a superior fighter. Love him or hate him that u must acknowledge! New to the site so if anyone wants to wager against PBF inform me how and lets wager.

LOL.....Such a crock of ****. I point directly to Kostya Tszyu to expose this outright LIE. OMG Statements like this lose fans right and left. As if the world is full of dumbasses. The only dumbasses out there are the Floyd nuthuggers who cannot help but believe this nonsense and those ignorant of boxing altogether.
Kostya ****in Tszyu! The same guy that QUIT against Hatton? Come better! Get ur point n agree somewhat, but wrong example. The fight wit hatton is only to put on a show. nxt he takes on the winner of loblocotto or oscar's sugar. then hopefully the next champion at 147. As a fan thats wat im hoping for. If not the case then i lose respect for wat i percieve as the p4p king. Until then appreciate him.

Hell yea! Morales and Barrera r over the hill(during the battles wit Pacq). And note he is goin to fight Marquez another over the hill mexican brawler. Y is he not fighting the young gunners like guzman or soto(i thnk).
