I Don't Understand Why Cotto Still Doesn't Get The Respect He Deserves

Exactly... the Baldomir loss is really bad for Judah, which, in turn, is bad for Cotto's resume.
The fact that he gives up in the middle of fights hurts Cotto's resume too.
It's not a Cotto thing either... lots of people don't give Mayweather Jr. credit for beating Judah, because Judah made his opponent look bad in the first part of the fight, and then gave up (true in both fights).Comment

dude, do you know were to find that article were the hatton people said no to cotto?i gotta read that ****.Comment

Anybody with quick hands and feet, can beat Baldomir. He's as slow as molasses. His most impressive wins are against Judah and Gatti. How do u figure he's the most underated fighter? Clottey was whoopin that ass up until the DQ.Comment

No matter how you slice it, he was the undisputed Welterweight Champ, and beat a good fighter in Spinks. Spinks' only real losses were against Judah and Taylor.I mean, fair enough...
but is Zab Judah really special at 147? You honestly think that Judah is better than Diaz and Freitas collectively?
Freitas only has two losses, Corrales and Juan Diaz.
Judah has fives losses, Tszyu, Spinks, Baldomir, Mayweather Jr. and Cotto.
I think Cotto is actually pretty damn good, but his record as of now doesn't show it. The Mosley fight will more than take care of it if he wins.
It's not just Judah either. Julio Diaz is all of a sudden being anointed as a great fighter? He moved around and jabbed a slow Chavez, until he tore his ACL. He's beaten average fighters for alphabet titles, and he lost every other fight he stepped up in. What has he done that Torres, Bailey, Corley, Malignaggi hasn't?
Does beating Ricky Quiles and Jesus Chavez make you a very good fighter? I mean come on this is the double standard I talk abot when it comes to Cotto. "Very impressive wins." DLT said. Give me a ****ing break. Those are good wins, but nothing that separates him from Cotto. Nothing at all.Comment

I'd say having two wins on your resume over fighters that you know outside of them fighting the person in question is better than one.No matter how you slice it, he was the undisputed Welterweight Champ, and beat a good fighter in Spinks. Spinks' only real losses were against Judah and Taylor.

Now let me explain what I mean by that horribly constructed sentence:
Basically, when Fighter A beats someone, they are either, a "star", meaning that people knew who they were before they fought Fighter A. If no one knew who they were, then they were a nobody. To be honest, the only person I knew on Cotto's resume before he fought Cotto was Judah. I knew who both Freitas and Julio Diaz were before they fought Juan Diaz. That's just my logic.
And of course, that is not the be-all end-all criteria, but it is Zab Judah that we are talking about. He's a very good fighter, but he did stop throwing punches against all of his biggest losses.Comment

yeah but it a W at the end withere a DQ or a KO or a TKO it all a win that is important.
and He could beat Cotto because Cotto doesnt have quick feet and hands to beat him and Baldomir is a type of fighter who comes forward and has pretty good stamina to withstand Cotto bodyshotsComment
