As obvious and ridiculous of an excuse as this is, being that I do believe that even if this didn't happen Cotto probably would have still beaten him, but...

The low blows did hurt Zab a bit in that fight. The 1st one maybe only a little, but the 2nd one was BRUTAL, yet still not as brutal as those uppercuts, Watch from 1:06...

      Kostya Tszyu
      Floyd Mayweather
Miguel Cotto and gets KOed he is still a great talent?
      Talent is different from accomplishment.

People also seem to remember what he did to Cory Spinks in the rematch.

The reason he gets so many chances is people have seen his brilliance, and are wondering whether he can ever regain it, because when he beat Spinks, he looked pretty damn good.

He also lost to Spinks, which was prolly zabs best win.

That makes me think, people just really like the guy. They really want him to be in the public eye.

Take somebody like Mayorga for example. What do u think about him? Does he get to live by that same standard? I think not.

Im not a Judah Hater but thier is a double standard for him.

Mayorga lives by the same standard IMO.

He has 6 losses, and has lost to every good fighter he has ever faced... minus one.

His wins over Vernon Forrest are all that is keeping him afloat now.

Zab gets the same credit for his win over Spinks... and it is significant because he lost a close decision and then won by KO when he was way ahead on all scorecards.

The reason Zab keeps losing is because he doesn't translate his talent into victory. I don't know why he keeps getting chances, but I think it is because some people do still believe in his talent turning him back into a superstar, which gives him a decent following, so he keeps getting big fights.

I agree for the most part. When Mayorga frist hit the scene people loved him. Once he lost everyone said he was garbage. When Zab losses it almost rasies his popularity, much respect is gave. Thats why I said it mostly had to do with his personality. How much respect do u think people would give Mayorga for Zab like tune up fights. Or he lost to someone like Baldomir. None.

Also IMO Mayorga has had the hardest competition in the last 15 years.

Vernon Forrest x2 (in his prime, right off the sugar shane wins.)
            Cory Spinks
            Felix Trinidad
Oscar De La Hoya and a fight with Vargas coming up. lol Cmon, Its plain to see Don King doesnt give a **** about him. He will ring every dollar out of him untill he retires.
