    1. How many American fighters do you EVER see leaving there "back yard"

    2. Calzaghe HAS fought outside the U.K. - Mario Veit. Germany. - and you try and tell me that German crowds are not tough. He got a by far worser reception than any Brit in Las Vegas has had.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to the topic in hand, Kessler is just trying to sell the fight. In honesty, Kessler MUST respect Joe, it would be impossible not to - as Calzaghe respects Mikel.

sorry i dont see how that is relative to

In a recent interview with The Mirror, WBC/WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler (39-0, 29KOs) said that he was not impressed with the skills of WBO champ Joe Calzaghe (43-0, 32KOs). They collide on Nov. 3 at the Millennium Stadium in Wales.

why should he leave britian hes the best smw in the world as recognised by the American media and most fans ,hes not willing to leave the comfort of his home town well maybe Amercian fighters get a little travel sick aswell cause i dont see many of them flocking to britian to expose him for the frauster you seem to think he is ,bhop obviously did'nt have the same impression of Joe as you do

im aware jc fought in germany, to fight a guy he'd already beaten, veit was no hopkins or jones, sorry to keep ****ing on about the same 2 names but isnt that what joe's been doing for years, iv'e gone a little off subject but my point is the americans where by far the bigger names/attractions

He will leave Britain soon enough i'm sure. There are no more fights for him in Europe.

Dare i say it, it could be B-Hop... Bernard is certainly getting older...he's ripe for the taking. My heart says Pavlik though - i'd love to see them two kicking off.

pavlick is definitely the guy joe should target next (providing he gets passed kessler) b-hop just couldnt keep up with joe's pace, 5 years ago it would of been a different story but we'll never know

            Yea, my thoughts exactly.

B-Hops last display against Winky was a disgrace. Old, slow... uncomfortable - the use of his head was the act of a desperate fighter.

Pavlik vs. Joe would be a great test for Calzaghe. He'd be putting his name and body on the line - which is what the fans love... its what Hatton did - with Tszyu, Castillo and PBF. If Calzone wants to be a legend, then he's gonna have to start risking himself.

The calzaghe-hopkins fight was meant to happen ages ago but hopkins didn't want it, it was too much of a risk as Joe was relatively unknown.

Don't think Calzaghe should fight Pavlik... Pavlik would beat him and might even ko Calzaghe. Calzaghe is my favorite boxer but I won't be biased when it comes to the fights. And Pavlik could seriously hurt him. But only time can tell, I consider kessler to be a great fighter so if Joe puts an insanely great performance against Kessler or even ko's Kessler. Then I would start questioning myself, and maybe he can beat Pavlik.

Sorry, this is more of an aside or observation than a contribution to the thread. I didn’t know that much about either fighter but due to all the posts and what people are saying I’m pretty excited about the fight. HBO should be paying some of you guys for the free promotion.

I like both fighters too. Calzaghe more though. I think Joe is experienced enough to be able to handle Pavlik. Joes been in the ring with all sorts of fighters, including Eubank, who many consider one of the G.O.A.T. I think it'd be a pretty even fight, but your right... Calzaghe would have to put his balls on the line. But thats his job.
