What??? I thought Jones was always ahead of Hopkins up until he lost to Tarver.

but if it was anything that did it, it was probebly his move to heavyweight or his destruction of Clinton Woods, whatever years that was in.

Most boxing mags had Oscar over Roy because he was fighting better oponents Felix beat Oscar, Vargas, Reid, which put him in first.

Hopkins beat Tito the mags made him #1 and so on.

I myself always had Roy #1 but it's all about opinion it's not a real ranking.

Also i'm pretty sure Roy and Hop tied for first in the end of year rankings for Ko mag somewhere around that time.

i actually remember watching the jones and griffin first or it was before the second fight they where talking about P4P and i think the one guy had DLH first and i also think he had roy like 4th bc they where saying the lower weight classes had the better fighters so there for they where picking welter middleweights and such. but too didnt they ask roy after the woods fight about the HW thing and i though larry merchant said that if he moved up and won that would put him over the top on all lists. but i do remember him being number 1 bc the ring mag that came out right after roy beat tarver the 1st time didnt have jones num 1 bc they thought he was shot. i believe.
