    Shaq over Kobe.

The Kobe/Jordan comparisons are ludicrous. We won't see another Jordan for a long time...that includes Lebron.

Shaq is the most dominant presence in the NBA ever. Wilt and MJ come in right after that. I've never seen anyone triple teamed as often. If Shaq had been guarded heads up his entire career he would have already topped Kareem, Wilt, and Bill Russell as the best center ever. I think he rates just behind all three at this point.

There is no way that any of them could possibly guard Shaq, but they all have better offensive skills than him.

I'm a traditional LAKER fan. Since the days of Karrem ABDUL Jabbar, MAGIC jOHNSON, Kirk Rambis, Norm Nixon etc, until now. But it's way out of line comparing Kobe to Jordan. While it's true that Kobe has the guts, the skills and the moves of his own . . . the guy doesn't have the charisma of leadership that Jordan have. The ability to motivate his whole team.

There will always be only one JORDAN.

I saw their game against the Golden Warriors which they lost . . . DAMN this early I can see that MY TEAM will be lucky to survive the magic 8.

They are lacking in the center slot, Lamar Odom is good but cannot play the center position! But this team is young, same with Miami, after the season ends next year, Lakers should get a big man that can play good defense and can rebound well!

Exactly Bro. . . a very young team and if they can find a good consistent center man . . . plus develop their cohesiveness . . . they'll be a contender once again.

I'm rooting for Miami Heat now, how about you? I've been a Lakers fan since the time of Kareem and Magic Johnson, it's only now that I switch to another team, maybe I find it exciting to watch Shaq over Kobe.

I think Miami Heat has a good chance to earn a playoffs berth, i just don't know if they are the team to beat and i don't like to predict that they would make it to the Finals either! Which is the team to beat today in the NBA, many players have gone with another team like nash, t-mac, who else?

I think T-Wolves has a good chance to dethrone Pistons this season.

Pistons has kept their team intact and they are still the team to beat this coming season, do you agree? Last year i have followed Lakers from day 1 until the end of the season, i really thought they could have beaten the Pistons in the Finals though (it's just that the problem with the Lakers were themselves and there's no way they can resolve it right away before that lost to Pistons).

Miami Heat has a better chance than the Lakers this coming NBA season because the former has a deeper line up, Laettner & Wang Zhi Zhi will provide a big help for Shaq and Wade. I can't wait to see Miami in action, i hope Shaq won't get injured.

Well indeed Miami has a better chance this season I'll agree to that but I'll stick to my old team I have stuck it out with L.A. win or loose ever since, even during the Jordan era so why change now.

My guess? This is going to be a battle royal between Pistons, Miami Heat, Kings, Timberwolves and Spurs for the title.
