Lakers formidable duo of Shaq and Kobe is gone! Shaq has shifted to Miami while Kobe remained to be with the Lakers. I've seen the new Lakers team played Sacramento last night in a pre-season tussle and i can't help to think about who has made the better deal of it. Can Shaq carry the Miami heat to the playoffs? Which team would fare well? My answer is, it would depend on how strong is Shaq's back-up and how dominant really is Kobe and his ability to lead a team (he is often compared to michael jordan.. can he lift this new team of his to a championship crown?). What is your opinion on this?

My vote goes to shaq simply because he's one of a kind. People can argue that Kobe's scoring ability can be matched by many other SG/SF in the league (i.e. Tracy McGrady and Paul Pierce, etc.) However, Shaq can't be compared to anyone....Or no one can be compared to him.Comment

no one can carry a team like shaq could. if he is on your team you automatically become a contender.kobe rode shaq's coat tails for three championships the lakers this year wont make the playoffsComment

comparing Kobe to Jordan is like comparing a 72 Pinto to a 2004 Farrari.
The Lakers Brass f'ed up huge!! The basically chose Kobe over both Shaq and Phil Jackson.
