The four-part Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 series, debuting Nov. 18, will have exclusive, behind the scenes access of both camps leading up to the highly anticipated match, according to HBO executives.
Along with the premiere, two additional episodes of the series will air on subsequent Sundays, with the finale airing Dec. 6 – two days before the PPV fight.
Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 is a sequel to the HBO 24/7 boxing series that led up to the May 5 Oscar De La Hoya-Mayweather PPV fight. During the series, Mayweather appeared as a confident champion, often flaunting money around during his training for the fight.
The fight went on to generate a record 2.15 million PPV buys.
“In addition to this being the most anticipated welterweight title fight since Oscar De La Hoya squared off with Felix Trinidad in 1999, these are two of the sport’s most engaging and colorful personalities,” said HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg in a prepared statement. “We were thrilled with the launch of the ‘24/7’ franchise last spring [De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7] and believe we have found the ideal sequel.”
