Pavlik: "A Duddy Fight is Good For Boxing"

I've been vocal about it since I heard this matchup too. It's just wrong, wrong, wrong.

Nothing can be cemented until October 30th (the day after the rematch clause with Taylor expires) So from then on expect the fight to be made.

Duddy has no other plans. His team will just say that. If Pavlik doesn't offer him a shot, then Duddy will fight again in December in Belfast.

But the obvious logic is that the fight will be made.

Money will be made.

Sturm did get screwed but if the money was there he would go over, not saying he could beat pavlik but i think he's a better fight than AA.

And good on him, he just demolished what were supposed to be the 2 toughest middle's in the world in a row, why not have an easy one - if this is as one sided as everyone expects?

remember - he's only 25, he has alot of years ahead of him, the big fights will happen, guys like calzage, winky etc who are all in their mid 30's dont have the luxury of time like pavlik, which is why they only want to fight the so-called p4p club

I think its the best "fight off" pavlik could have picked.

Duddy will make the fight very exciting and it should definetly end in a crowd pleasing KO.

Also, Arum promised that a PAVLIK bout would be FREE on TV, so maybe this will be the one

This fight would be a war while it lasted but I don't think Duddy will last long against those bombs all night. Especially with his lack of defense. But where else to showcase the fight than Atlantic City, NJ? Pavlik can become the new Gatti and take his fans easily. I gotta catch the fight in person if it goes through, it'll be a barn burner.

Pavlik earned his way to the title shot and did the most with it. What has J-Dud done to earn a title shot?

Draws a lot of fans. When you start drawing the fans you too will get a shot at a title.

He had to fight Hopkins AGAIN, then WINKY, then Ouma which even though Everyone knew he would win, Ouma was still a world Champion, the fight a two time world champ Spinks,, and even though Taylor didnt look great, he still fought THREE former WORLD CHAMPIONS in a row and now Pavlik is lookin for bitchmade fights already,,, I'm dissapointed in you Pavlik,, You know damn well that you need to fight JT again and then fight some real competition,, Dont pull a Hopkins and fight weak people just so you can hold that title and make your Pimp (BOB ARUM) money

they may have been champions but they much smaller champions that all made him look bad - at least Pavlik is fighting a true middle
