I agree. I've enjoyed watching Mayweather a great deal.

His only drawbacks are his natural instinct to be overly defensive, cautious, and economical. Floyd holds back when he could be more explosive, exciting, and unpredictable. And he could more than get away with it..

I agree with the bold but IMO I wouldn't call them drawbacks. I also agree with what Crillz said. I think if PBF knows all its going to take is 60% of his fight game to beat his opponent then that is all he is going to use. I AM NOT SAYING THAT IS RIGHT BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. I don't think PBF used 100% of his fight game against De la Hoya and that is my opinion and I could be wrong but I don't think so. A boxing writer also said that and he said he though PBF did it in hopes of making the fight closer to get a rematch with a even bigger payday. I think PBF really fought at 100% in his match with Corrales because of the way he perceived Corrales and Corrales' rep at the time. PBF knew he need to be at the top of his game for that fight and it showed.

to a boxing fan he is possibly, to the public he isn't. i mean i tried getting people at work to watch oscar and him and they were bored. these guys are from a tyson era. they don't follow boxing now, and getting them to watch that was hard for me.

Ok but that is just 1 fight. Only his last 2 fights have been considered lackluster outings. Guess what PBF has had 36 other fights where he fought nothing like he did in those 2 fights.
Why is it ok for people to judge PBF and Hatton by they're 2 worst performances?

yeah that's true, but pbf will fight in that pace. i mean if him and ruiz were together it would be a 2 punch round fight. floyld only fights when pushed, and therefore he himself is not exciting unless his oppoent is.

i mena people are doubting pac now but he could only do what he can with his oppoent. if his oppoent runs then he wont look good.

He will fight in what pace? That pace was PBF fighting 2 people that outweighted him by damn near 20 lbs. When he has fought people his size these comments were never made. Why isn't his opponent critizied for not pushing him to his limits? If Pac's opponents runs then the opponent should be critizied but Pac should also be critizied for being P4P #2 fighter and not having the skills to know how to cut off the ring. But the runner deserves more blame.

That never crossed my mind. I think you can tell Floyd never really went past second gear in that fight but was it really for that reason? Who knows....

Watch his fight with DeMarcus Corley. It is ****ing sweet. I watched it today, and it was one of the fastest fights I have seen (as in, I start watching it, and it seems like only 15 minutes later, it's over, even though it has been over an hour).

He is capable of excitement when he is not outsized by a lot.

I can't believe people reckon Floyd is a boring fighter who keeps running,
thats a load of bull.
The first time i ever saw him fight, i thought , wow, this guy is all class.
all he does is show skill and talent in his fights.

I think u have to be a real fan of boxing to appreciate his style.
If you dont, then you havent even laced on a pair of gloves in your life.

The guy is beautiful to watch.Period.
