I find Floyd to be an exciting fighter myself, I personally think of him as a percentage fighter, if you bring 70% then he's only going to throw 70% at you, he competes and adjusts in so many different ways, he utilizes so many different fighting techniques that seperates him from all others, he can always step it up to 100% though and he will but he never gives everything just like that he follows the flow of the fight, fights his fight and does it effectively over time, the way he imposes himself on people damn near twice his size is remarkable..

Floyd most definitely is an exciting fighter to watch it's just in some performances even best gotta do what they gotta do to win, hard hitting Zab Judah couldn't get past Baldomir and he then crushes Gatti so he did what he had to do to pull off the W and boxed effectively knowing the knockout was a long shot, same with De La Hoya in terms of his approach to the fight, the guy is a master boxer and he has been fighting his whole life, this guy really knows how to scrap so whoever says he isn't exciting to watch even if only for the big name factor must not dig the sweet science too much because Floyd does it and makes it look easy.. 100

I agree. I've enjoyed watching Mayweather a great deal.

His only drawbacks are his natural instinct to be overly defensive, cautious, and economical. Floyd holds back when he could be more explosive, exciting, and unpredictable. And he could more than get away with it..

I think people say that because of his last couple of fights. Every professional athlete or team does performances that are not so great every once in a while. Thats why I don't understand why people are so offended about Mayweather because his last couple fights weren't on the edge of your seat exciting. I think its because floyd has set hisself at such a high standard that people expect alot out of him.

Floyds accomplishments do not come anywhere near the accolades he recieves. Like I said in another thread, if he goes 12 rounds with Hatton in tough gritty fight he'll have taken a step nearer toward toward where people think he is as a boxer.
