Lucero and Solis were unknown and unproven, they also didnt beat anyone significant..... Just cause their undefeated doesnt mean they are top notch fighters

You're right, PAC should've finished JMM if he would've put the right combinations together.

If you watch all three knockdowns, all three punches landed on JMM's nose. The nose is not exactly the "sweet spot", sure it hurts, but its not a part of the body that messes up your wiring upstairs. If after the first knockdown PAC would've just mixed up his punches by setting JMM up w/ like a hook to the temple or a hook or uppercut to the chin, that would've been the fight. Because JMM was obviously staggered even after getting up from the first kd, but he just got hit on the nose again.

If I were PAC, I would've set JMM up w/ a series of jabs, threw a straight left to JMM's solar plexus and brought up a hook to the side of the chin or an uppercut to the chin or hooks to the temple. Then we wouldn't be talking of a rematch.

Having said all that, much props to JMM, that was one of the more courageous comebacks I have seen in my entire life. It's right up there when the Buffalo Bills were down 28-0 and came right back to win the game against the Titans or was it the other way around?? Can someone refresh my memory?(lol)

seriously, i watched the fight just a couple of days ago with an unbiased eye and scored it 7 rounds to 5 for marquez... i won't say it was a dominating fight for marquez since he was still tagged a lot of times in the later rounds... clearly without those kd's, marquez would have won. but KD's are part of the business and Pac should have won.

I don't think PBDS is trying to point out that JMM won the fight. Like you said w/o the kd's JMM would've won, and yes kd's are part of the game.

But in a rematch, JMM still the terrific counter-puncher he is(may have slipped a lil bit just a tad bit after the fight) will give PAC more or less the same problems.

Yes, PAC has improved, against EM, a fighter who was there to be hit. PAC was able to work the right hook 'cause EM pretty much just stood there. JMM on the other hand will slip, counter, use his legs and give angles all night! We may not see the same elusiveness in JMM in a rematch but he's still a highly skilled fighter. But, I think it's PAC's fight to win, he will need to give JMM a dose of some of what JMM does well, which is give angles, feint, work the jab.

If PAC can show the discipline he showed in the 2nd EM fight, and keep working the angles and constant pressure against JMM all night, PAC will be victorious.

Let's not forget that JMM is STILL a sucker for that straight left...whether it's coming from Manny or anyone else!

i was not really emphasizing on who won but just stating the fact why it was really not as dominating a performance for marquez.

i don't question the skill of marquez, i have said it before that he is the best counter-puncher in boxing and i still believe that he is today. fact is, Pac still won 5 rounds in that fight when he was rushing in carelessly and throwing only 1-2's...

I hope Pac proves me right come fight night and KO Marquez.

one problem with pac is that in every opponent he fights he tends to just do what is enough to win, if only he can unleash his full potential.. JMM is one hell of a counter puncher it will be a good fight

but for lightweight pacman will have a difficulties but still there is possibility. pac is not all that invincible he tends to get lazy sometimes. like that solis fight he was trying to counter punch when it did not work and got head butt instead he quickly finished the fight.

140 lbs is an exageration he will get himself hurt in that division
