I don't think he does, he was running like a ***** and throwing next to nothing in the last few rounds, he got what he deserved.

Oh, please. The stoppage was not a bad stoppage. Holt went at least 15-20 seconds without throwing a punch. Meanwhile, he'd just been down on the canvas and Torres was throwing bombs. He just happened to throw one punch after the Ref had already decided to stop the fight.

He was also losing on the cards at the time. I had him up by one point when the round started but the KD put Torres up by one, even before the round ended. He could've went down again, too, and given Torres a 2-point lead. The way the fight was going, he didn't stand a chance in the 12th. The momentum was all in Torres' favor, even without all the stuff being tossed in the ring.

Summary: Good stoppage, no rematch deserved.

I dont like Holt, but yes, I think he deserves a rematch. Considering the conditions and the 'controversial' stoppage I believe that it should be held in the States or neutral ground.

Definitely not. That stoppage was only slightly on the premature side. He was running scared and legitimately hurt. I'm not sure if he even threw a punch in the last oh 20 years of that fight. He just knew the right political move to make when he got back home because he choked away a title he could have won since he's the better fighter. Waaa waaa waaa, home town robbery.

Screw that chinny little bitchy runner Holt. He got cold ****ed AGAIN by a PUNCHER and he was whining like a little *****. Tough luck there, maybe he'll learn how to pace himself in a fight next time and not try and RUN his way to a title like he did in that 11th round. I don't want to see a pounani like Holt with a strap anyway. He leaves for ZERO excitement and he's a whiner, he whined just like this when he was laid out by that scrub on ESPN.

            Screw Holt.

lol...thats exactly how I felt after hearing about it (not seeing the fight first though). I still kinda feel that way, but I personally think he should get that rematch. And if he does, hopefully Torres can make it a more definite stoppage.

Holt wobbled Torres just as bad in the earlier rounds. But no stoppage there... Hmmm... fishy

** Torres not wobbled and not running. There was a balance type shot Holt landed early that knocked Torres into the ropes, technically a KD though it wasn't ruled that at the time if I recall. Holt fighting very defensively in the guy's home town, not like he wanted a belt. Torres struggled a bit with the movement and defense, but landed well at times and always in pursuit. He landed particularly well in the stoppage round and the ref did give Holt some time to recover.

Never saw any debris flying into the ring or anyone grab Holt. Doesn't mean Holt wasn't hit in the face by a beer can or wasn't grabbed, but only that the tape doesn't support the claim.

I'd pick Torres in the rematch. He will have adjusted better to Holt's defense and Holt has no answer to a left hook to the jaw. It would be a good undercard for a good or great headliner.
