Why do Floyd Fans compare Hatton to Gatti ?

I have heard this comparison a lot on here and it is absolutely moronic. Gatti shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Ricky Hatton in terms of skill and ability. I loved the wars and heart Gatti showed in his day, but he was a punching bag most of his career that was overhyped by HBO.

******s on here actually think Floyd vs Hatton is gonna be a replay of Floyd vs Gatti. I don't know if you certain people are ****** or you really hate Ricky Hatton enough to compare a p4p undefeated fighter to a real life human punching bag that was shot when he faced Floyd.

because they are irrational and can't seperate a c level fighter ten years past prime from a p4p elite fighter smack in the middle of his prime.

Talk about double standards , ODH is over the hill but Hatton KOes Castillo ,, Hatton made KT quit ,, Castillo is the most over the hill of the three at the time of the matches ,, KT and ODH were at about the same degree of fade ,,, but there is one big difference Floyd gave ODH a stone in weight after just flattening Mayorga ,,, all you see is whats in your face one man against another , up to light heavy the biggest advantage you can have on an opponent is size and weight , Floyd beating ODH was a very big win because of the weight he gave him ,,, as far as Koysta beating Floyd I look at this way Floyd could beat anyone Vince Phillips can beat no problems .

As to Tszyu; every past champion that I can think of, except Marciano, has lost a fight. You triangulating the Phillips loss around every discussion of Tszyu is just silly and unconvincing. Tszyu came back from that fight and consolidated the belts for god's sake. What's wrong with you?

As to Mayweather; Tszyu would not only have beaten him, there is a distinct probability that he would have knocked him out.

Mayweather gets by Judah in 12 round decision.

Don't be a fool, Hatton is probably the best fighter Floyd has ever faced. DLH was past his prime when he faced Floyd, but a prime DLH would definately kick Floyd's ass. Hatton KO'd Castillo in 4, Floyd couldn't even do that in 24 rounds. Hatton made Kostya Tyszu quit, Tyszu was top 5 p4p at the time. I think Tyszu would have KO'd Mayweather if he fought him.

They compare Hatton to Gatti because their styles are similar, except Hatton clinches more and doesnt have Gatti's power, but Hatton is just a little bit better at everything else (handspeed, footwork, defense).
Also, people believe the outcome of Hatton V Mayweather could turn out like Mayweather v Gatti, which is definitly possible.

Gatti has more pure punching power than Hatton.
Hatton is more skillful.

They absolutly have similar styles, they are both in fighters who do their damage in the inside, they both use the clinch in fights (although Hatton does it far more) and they both rarley use the jab.
