Here is a clip of Chapman preparing for those who have never seen JD Chapman.
JD Chapman vs Marcus Rhode In November

Wow.
Chapman needs to hire someone else to do his mitt work.
I wear my guys out and actually make the mitts somewhat of a USEFULL excercise.
If it doesnt translate to the ring, don't do it.
Slow mo combos, half speed punching, mitts way outside of the target area? Come on Chaps. Lose the 12 year old kid. If the punches arent landing reasonably close to where they would if you were actually in the ring, you're wasting your time.
I've seen JD twice here in Tulsa. Fighting nobodies. He's a big, strong, athletic kid. If he picks up a decent trainer he could make some moves in the division as it stands now.Comment

I’ve seen junior flyweights work the pads harder than this guy and what’s the deal with Marcus Rhodes? The guys boasts an impressive 32-33 pro record…Comment

Marcus Rhodes has, but JD hasn’t and doesn’t look like he wants to. JD should target someone like Tye Fields, Joe Mesi, Hasim Rahman, Mike Mollo, Brian Minto, etc.; basically a fighter who has some credibility….
Btw, Badblood do you communicate directly with JD?...Comment

JD tried to set up a fight with Faruq Saleem but it never happened, the fight with Bostice fell through too. Scott Hirsch (JD's manager) has tried to get some decent opponents for him but things just hadn't worked out yet, remember JD is young, real young so give him some time before you expect him to jump in there with Sam Peter.
The fight that should have happened but never did was Chapman vs Chauncy Welliver. Welliver called him out over and over again and then backed down when the fight was close to being signed.

That's a good point. I've seen JD fight a few times on FNF's and he appeared to be in better shape than he is in this video. He showed good movement for a big guy albeit he was fighting club fighters.
