How will Floyd react? Floyd will back up to the ropes, as he has done in every other pressure situation. Is this bad? No, it works to Floyd's advantage, as he is comfortable in that situation.

Floyd will tag Hatton with hooks and right hands as he tries to come inside.

How will Hatton react? Hatton will try and grab onto one of Floyds arms to prevent him from punching.

      ect...

You really have to get down to the nuances of each fighters habits. No matter how much a fighter says he will change his habbits, he never will.

Just look at Jermain Taylor, how many times did he insist that he would keep his left hand high for his fight with Pavlik? What did he do? He kept his left and low like he always has and always will.

Floyd will not stop backing up from constant pressure, and Hatton will not stop trying to hold offensively.

Some people will say, Floyd doesn't always back up to pressure fighters. Yes, he does. It is true that Floyd will stand in the middle of the ring and trade with you, but a fighter that is trying to stand and trade with you is different than a fighter that is trying to apply pressure. Floyd always has, and always will back up when pressure is applied.
      My thoughts exactly.

As far as Floyd fighting backing up, one only has to view how he fought against Diego.

I believe he boxed masterfully going backwards while Diego chased him, until the inevitable conclusion.

Not saying he'll fight the same way against Ricky, but Floyd is versatile enough to adjust, intelligently, to a pressure fighter when he has to.

I'm just expecting to see some spectacular boxing from both fighters.

True, but Diego was stalking and looking for that one big shot that never came. This is totally different from Hatton. Surely you can see the difference. Another difference: The public and consequently the judges are not going to applaud another Floyd run for decision. The aggressor will be viewed favorably in this fight. This is why Hatton has a real chance here.

Watch the Corrales fight. He followed floyd for 4 rounds and threww maybe 10 punches a round.

I assure you that won't be the case with Hatton.

Corrales never could hanlde movement. Casamayor, freitas, and others gave him hell till they tired and chico could corner em!

Difference is mayweather was better conditioned!

The reason deigo was stalking Floyd is becase he was getting outboxed and outclassed early in the fight and tried to adjust his style, knowing he couldnt box with Floyd he looked for that one big shot.

Look for Floyd to have a higher workrate earlier to dictate the pace of the fight.
However, if Hatton gets going and throws punches in bunches like he can, I think we will be in for an interesting night.

Yep. Agreed. Mayweather has superior athleticism and conditioning to alot of the fighter's he faces. His skill level is great, but it's not like he is on another level, another galaxy with some fighters.
