Then maybe I'll consider him an All-Time great. He's on his way, the dude's skill is there, but he has to have impressive wins over more top contenders to be placed up in the ATG list. I think when he beats Hatton, fights the Cotto-Mosley winner, then by that time Cintron or Williams will have their names HIGH in the stratosphere of the WW division to the point where they're unavoidable. Miguel Cotto was in their same stage a few years back, and now he's very big, the same will happen to either of those guys.
good post. totally agree. if floyd fights all those dudes, he skyrockets his standings as an ATG! no can deny that, but they still will....

If he fights and defeats the other WW champs and stays undefeated than yes i'll consider him for ATG and top 10 status.

he's not taken down any big names in their prime. (i know about castillo, but i mean since the mayweather hype machine has been running) hatton is in his prime, but he's moving up to a weight at which he looked terrible when he fought. i mean with mayweather, it's kind of like if Motley Crue rocks the state fair circuit... sure they rocked, but it was a state fair. Maybe the Crue could still rock with the best of them, but until they try, we will never know.

Floyd will be classed as a great in his era and well he should be but all time........

I can list greats all day like Monzon, Jose Angel Napoles, Julio Cesar Chavez, Willie Pep, Roberto Duran, Ray Robinson, Joe Gans, Sandy Sadler, Harry Greb, Archie Moore and many more who fought 70 - 200+ times with minimal losses and won various World Titles.

Many of which fought in an era where there was only one title not 4 or 5 per weight division like it is now.

Mayweather has fought 38 times in 11 years, he is great for this era but for all time in my opinion he should not even be considered.

I don't think it's possible to know how good Floyd is unless he fights Freddie Pendleton, Cool Vince Phillips, or Juan Urango.

Only then can we say he is great.

Floyd will beat Hatton at his best and then fight the winner of Cotto VS Mosley but it still wont be enough. Floyd has some very good wins and those wins will put him up there. I would like to see him fight Paul Williams but I have my doubts about that, even so wins against Hatton and the Cotto/Mosley winner would put Floyd up there. Peace

I am not prepared to judge Mayweather's career in this way until a couple of years after his retirement so that we can properly evaluate his achievements and those of his opponents.

I say he needs a rematch with Arturo gatti, carlos baldomir and Emanuel Augustus to get in the hof

                    and a final fight with this guy to seal his legacy;

The thing is Dios you keep measuring your boy with Hatton.
                      Why is that?
NOBODY has said Hatton is HOF or P4P#1 all time greatest.
This is what Floyd and his band of Merry men keep waffling on about though.

Floyds competition at 140 and above has not been much better than Hatton's anyway.
His competition at 130 & 135 aint exactly ATG status either.

You just keep recycling the same bull**** arguments and use biased Journalists quotes who change their mind each season.

Please tell me ALL the fighters on Floyds resume that give him All time Great status.
Hell , point out who you think he has fought in their PRIME who will also be inducted to the HOF.

I am not saying nobody will I just want to know who you think will.

Now please answer the questions here with answers and not other questions like you always do.
I am still waiting on who you think Floyd fought in his prime since moving up from 135 which you chose to ignore.
