No fight should be protested where the difference was a point. Toney had a case since most of press row had him up. In McCline's case, most of press row had Peter winning.

WTF is going on with the Heavies??? The Russians have been hit with a mysterious back virus which has swept through the whole of Russia and affected all the russian heavies! Even friends of mine who aren't Boxing tragics can't even name a Heavyweight Champion. They know who De La Hoya and Mayweather are and they ask me if the Heavyweight division even exists anymore! How the f**k can there be 3 different champions under WBC??? This interim 'Paper Champ' belt is a fricken joke. These guys to me resemble Lumberjacks who wear gloves. Nine out of 10 people could name the Heavyweight champ back in the Old School days i.e. Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Ali, Walcott... Now there seems to be 10 different Heavy Champs including interim etc. This **** needs to be sorted out before it really becomes even more of a shambles!

I personally think it was too much too soon, in Boxing there is no bigger punch than one from a Heavyweight, it's no surprise to me Jameel was able to do that to Peter because I don't think Peter expected was expecting that, from the jump and all the interviews I just saw Peter talk more and more about a title and less about who he has to fight to get it, I think Peter just came into this fight to make a statement like Zab against Baldomir and lost his edge, he rebounded andhe got his win and YES those scores were ****ty but Sam fought his way back into contention..

I say Peter should give McCline his immediate rematch so he can immediately erase any doubts, so he can stay busy and fight in a fight that somewhat means something now, something like his Toney rematch where Sam was madated to fight but also felt the urge to prove those wrong who picked Toney in the 1st match, he can carry that same kind of focus and motivation and come back to look phenomenal, it's not out of the question yo Sam Peter and Jameel McCline are BOTH big guys, for one to land a clean, flush shot regardless of the record means a KO. I personally don't think Sam brought his A game from the jump I think he had to be smacked into it, he started doing his thing after he saw this wasn't going to be an easy night, I think with proper time and with a proper preparation period for one another this fight can be better, this fight was called with only weeks before the fight date, believe it or not that affects fighters sometimes and i don't doubt it was the case but I DO think Jameel should get his rematch immediately, he looked better than I have seen him in MANY of his fights, his effort alone is probable cause for a rematch.. 100
