I wouldn't take anyone unless I knew they could win. I've got Hatton fully.

Hatton is the underdog every way we slice it. Even the bravest souls to pick Ricky have occasional terror flashes of Mayweather piston punching him into a limp pile of human flesh. You'd have to be a blind fan not to see Mayweather is capable of standing and trading with brutality. Mayweather has many many gears. Floyd can rip shots.

I hear you man, but you're not really answering my question. If Mayweather and Hatton were at even odds. Who would you take if making money was the objective?

Maybe not. That's what I was alluding to. Good insight.

The numbers will obviously never get that close - but if they were ****.. Like that? Probably not. Possibly too much risk for the same reality.

How about resume of Floyd? The so-called #1pfp fighter in the world

Oscar- Great champion of his day, but well past it at the age of 35 when Floyd fought him. Was inactive and had only 2 fights in 3yrs when Floyd faced him. Not to mention, it came down to a 1 point split decision in favor of Floyd.

Baldomir- A 36yr old Journeyman with 9 losses on his record. A fighter who came to fame by beating the shop-worn Gatti, and notoriously inconsistant Judah. Lets not forget that Baldo was getting his ass handed to him by Clottey up until the DQ for the headbutt/s

Judah- Although he is always a threat, he was just coming off an embarrasing loss against the bum above. He is extremely inconsistant, and is very mentally unstable when in the ring. Depsite all of that, it was Floyd's best win since Castillo and Corrales.

Gatti- Just as Floyd labeled him himself....A 35yr old, C-level fighter/paper champ. Gatti was just a punching bag for Floyd. He was a very battleworn fighter when Floyd got to him. Gatti then proves my case by going on to lose his next two fights in brutal fashion against the journeyman Baldomir, and Gomez from the CONTENDER!

Sharmbe Mitchell- Shot 36yr old fighter when Floyd got to him.

          Bruseles- WHO??

Corley- Decent win for Floyd. Nothing special.

Ndou- Another decent win for Floyd. Nothing special.

Sosa- B-C level fighter who took Floyd 12 rounds. Nothing noteworthy.

Castillo- Its very arguable that Floyd went 1-1 with him. Floyd's best win of his career to date, which was 5YEARS AGO!

Now does this look like an impressive resume of a fighter who is labeled as the so-called #1 pfp? Lets not forget that Floyd hasnt even defended his title/s since leaving 130.

Kostya Tszyu - a very good fighter in his day. Hatton fought the 36 year old version who had three fights since he KO'd Zab Judah four years earlier. In fact, Kostya Tszyu had more surgeries than fights during that time. He was a badly eroded fighter. In the 2+ years since Hatton, KT hasn't fought again. He was clearly on his last legs in Manchester that night.

Freddie Pendleton - a 38 year old journeyman with 25 losses.

Jose Luis castillo - another very good fighter in his day. In his two previous outings before Hatton, he looked crappy: against a journeyman in Reyes, and nearly losing to a 15 fight unknown in Ngoudjo. During the Hatton/castillo bout, the HBO announcing crew, including Manny Steward, pronounced JLC as "absolutely shot". Lampley said "Hatton won't get much credit for that victory because of the way Castillo looked". Those are exact quotes.

              Vince Phillips - a 40 year old C-level fighter.

Michael Stewart - a young fighter. Who went on The Contender a couple of years later. Michael is a career-long journeyman who is still fighting 8-rounders.

Juan Urango - A "C" level fighter with 17 wins. None of them meaningful.

Ray Oliveira - a 36 year old journeyman with nine losses. In the fight after Hatton, Oliveira lost to Emanuel Augustus.

Luis Collazo - A light-hitting , slick southpaw. In Ricky's first venture to WW. Ricky was badly hurt late in the fight and did well to gut out the win. Collazo was given much credit for the performance vs hatton. However, Collazo was dominated by Shane Mosley, thereby readjusting Luis' career expectations.

Carlos Maussa - A largely unknown Colombian who KO'd Vivian Harris. After fighting Hatton, Maussa lost to Sugar Manuel Garnica

During the ten years that Hatton has been at 140, Ricky missed fighting any of the following fighters in their primes:

              Lazcano
              Gatti
              Tszyu
              Corrales
              Castillo
              Tszyu
              Malignaggi
              N'Dou
              Judah
              Cotto
              Corley
              Witter
Mayweather (scheduled for Dec 8th, 2007)
              Harris
              Forbes
              Mitchell

...but he found time for a 38 year old Freddie Pendleton and a 40 year old Vince Phillips.

you know very little about him. ever noticed why he elft frank warren? because after tzyu frank wanted him to fight bums. that's why they went court and now are apart, thus hatton is chasing his bigger fights. which he is doing isn't he?

Very True. At least Ricky is willing to cross waters to face top opposition. Can we say the same for Floyd?

Even though you tried your best to make Floyd's resume looks like crap you cannot deny that his 38-0 resume is better then Ricky's 43-0 resume.

Floyd became a world champion at 17-0 and has been fighting world class competition since. Hatton has fought bums and over the hill fighters in manchster until he was 38-0 and then finally got a title shot and defeated Tszyu.

Facts......don't try to get it twisted.

Anyone who says they are providing an objective analysis very rarely actually does so.

Prime or no prime. Hatton breaks Castillo's ribs eventually. Did you not see the difference in strength and handspeed? Hatton broke Castillo's will early. It was unheard of what Hatton did. You just dont do that to Castillo.
