    Nah, it was'nt dozens.

I've seen both. The movie is pretty accurate as far how many unanswered punches he was taking. They were just trying to make it look as graphic as possible, with blood hitting people in the crowd and what not.

Plus, the fight is bad quality black and white lol

The movie is high quality with slow mo and close ups, so of course it's gonna look worse.

Scorcese has never really been Hollywood's darling, considering he's more Hell's Kitchen than Beverley Hills. They gave him an oscar for a relatively weak movie to try and make up for decades of overlooking masterpieces. When Raging Bull came out, Ordinary People won. When Taxi Driver came out Rocky won the Oscar. Goodfellas lost out to Dances with Friggin Costner....

yES, THE MOVIE SHOWED DOZENS. And they had it where LaMotta's arms were literally tangled in the ropes and he was taking brutal direct shots to the face. They had Ray stop for about 10 seconds and catch his breath and Jake stood there.. andt hen he let loose a wicked volley of shots that FINALLY ended the fight.

of course raging bull exaggerated it. any1 watching that movie has to know it would be exaggerated.

lamotta still took a terrible ass-kicking.
