In Britain boxing is enjoying something of a resurgance. In the United States it is on the decline.

And the British champ is probably playing Rugby League or Union.
Boxings biggest adversary is the Promoter.
Whether you live in the UK , USA or anywhere else in the world.
But from such a small nation Britain has a very distinguished history in the sport of boxing.
If anything the USA is UNDERACHIEVING!

Britain should bring back Boxing in Schools!
Not only would it find hidden talent it would help sort out the problems of bullying and give some form of discipline to the bone idle lazy work shy youth.
I remember at my school if you had beef the teachers would have you in the gym with gloves.
And whoever won or lost you shook hands afterwards.
The bullies always got their paycheck too.
Because if they were big for their age they got put in with someone older.

Really....how many heavyweight champs have there been from the U.S.?...too many to name.
How many have heavyweight champs have been British?...in history, the next one will be the FIRST one.
And please don't say Lennox Lewis...as he was a ringer.
British heavys have always been known as the 'Horizontal Heavyweights'.

As for the current state of U.S. heavys...it,for time being matches the rest of the world...which is just plain poor.
But...at least we have a history to be proud of...unlike....you.

The only reason why the US heavies were Dominant for so long is because the Russians were in bondage as the Soviet Union.
Look what has happened since the fall of Communism!
Russians were not allowed to fight professionally the same as the Cubans!

You compare Brits to the USA which is quite ridiculous.
A nation of 300 million versus 65 Million.

The Cubans whoop the USA in Amateur Boxing with a nation of 12 million.
