Jim Lampley stated on a recent Hatton telecast that,Hatton's win over Kosta Tyzu was voted by British fans as the greatest moment in British boxing.

I think that about sums it up...

If that is their greatest moment...a win over a washed up champion, then that's just sad.

Its sad that a Nation of 300 million people can't find a Heavyweight Champion.

I would say on the whole we a pretty good when you consider the population of the country and the amount of current World Champion we have today and have had over the years ,we have produced more World Champions than some far bigger countrys

i aint saying were the best but for the small pool of fighters you get to choose from its pretty decent especially when you consider that Boxing in this country is not as big as it is in the west and is primarly an after thought over here,we all kow how many from these of the kids in this country are bread to play footabll as soon as they can walk cause we are so footabll crazy in this country

i don't agree i think turpin's win over Robinson was above that, we have produced many top fighters maybe not many at heavyweight but lots at the lower weight classes.

Not to mention Honeyghan's win over Curry and Benn's win over McClellan (which despite the sad end to the fight was still a major achievement for Nigel).

I'd say good......I have always been a huge Lennox Lewis fan.I'm not so much a fan of many Brits at the moment but know they have had many very good fighters and still do.
