    HBO and Showtine go head-to-head

I hate when this happens, on December 4th both HBO and Showtime will have great cards but only one can be watched live. What is it going to take for these networks to stop skrewing over boxing fans like this.

    HBO card-
Jermain Taylor VS William Joppy (whatever happen to Eastman?)
    Pauli Malignaggi VS TBA
    Showtime card-
    Joel Cassamayor VS JL Castillo
    Jeff Lacy VS Omar Sheika

I am watching Lacy vs Sheika. I think its gonna be explosive. In my opinion Jermayne Taylor's style is boring.

Joppy has been off a year and hasnt trained one bit, perfect pick for taylor *snoores* I hope Joppy knocks him off....His Jab WILL match Taylors nicely...No doubt about that....

Malignaggi should be a good fight, Finally I get to see this man fight.....Hopefully it is against an A/B class opponent....

Lacy will destroy sheika, Cassamayor and castillo will snoore to a boring decision......

I will Tivo Both, But watch HBO live.

You got me, but she's hot though

So the Taylor camp is going with Joppy because they think he will be the easier match-up. In that case I kinda hope Taylor goes down as well. Joppy always comes to fight so, he does have a fighters chance.

HBO is in NYC and Showtime is in Vegas, so mabey the times will allow us to see both cards. Showtime will open with some BS heavyweight fight.

Yeah they have had some damn good boxing this year, it would be even sweeter if Corrales/Castillo was signed though.

That's why they've got Tivo. Actually, going head-to-head might help their ratings. There's double the chance a boxing fan will flip to their channel that night.

When the monday night wrestling wars were going on, the ratings were higher for each show on Monday nights than the ratings were for WCW Thunder and WWF Smackdown!, which both ended up being the only show of that kind on at once.

Some boxing fans like myself will record both and don't want to miss a second; others will flip back and forth between the fights and watch the one that looks most interesting.

I'm surprised HBO's ready to give Malignaggi a TV shot already. Even Showtime had him on ShoBox, not an undercard of a major show.

Taylor has never been pressured in a fight, Joppy comes out firing *look back at his fight with trinidad*. Taylor has never fought a guy that aggressive...How do you think he will handle it???? Deciding on Taylors power will be the key to see how the fight turns out....If Joppy comes forward like he always does, Taylor has nowhere to run......I dont give joppy much of a chance but he could easily cut the ring off for taylor.
