People appreciated ALI cause he was in some of the GREATEST FIGHTS OF ALL TIME and was the best heavyweight in the greatest Heavyweight Era of all time.

Pure BORING boxers dont get appreciated cause they shouldnt. Its an entertainment business before it's anything else.

But some DO. Spinks is very popular in his homestate, even though he's hella boring. His fight with Judah drew 23,000.

Mayweather sells out every stadium he steps into and will do so until he retires. ANd Calderon is an ICON in Puerto Rico.

I personally have no idea what this guy is talkin about, but to each his own i guess
