I'm not an american hater before I start....
But so far Hopkins best opposition was guys who were never true middleweights.
He doesn't like fighting guys his own size.
Jones and Taylor both beat him his only true world class competition his own size.
Tarver was useless.
If you really look at Hopkins career what has he really done?
Please don't say "20 defenses" blah blah because anyone could have made 20 defences against the opposition he had.
The truth is Hopkins was Big enough to contest the Super-middles and light heavy weights but he chose to stay in a division which was seriously lacking in talent.
His so called "Legacy" would be more acceptable had he chased Roy Jones Jr , James Toney & Calzaghe up the weights.
Credit for the discipline to boil down to middleweight.
But dig deep in your heart and ask yourself if he shortchanged the fans and himself?
