I know this and it is sad

This is the reason why boxing is dieing in America, it's because all of the best fighters are overseas.

Americans are just gonna have to get used to the fact that European fighters have taken over. America is not the center of the universe, this is an international sport now.

Oh and Gatti was never a beast, the dude belonged in "toughman" contests at best. I've seen amateurs better than Gatti before.
As for what Ive seen on Calzaghe. He's fast, not too predictable, throws shots in flurries, and throws them at different angles. He's also very fierce, and when he has a goal he's set to get it.

With all that said.I still think highly of this fight like a ESPN undercard.

Also for Gatti,****,anyone that can make millions off of boxing is good to me.

If you're a real fan of the sport, then this one will put your ass in a seat that night. Plain and simple.

yep, boxing is blooming in europe though...
the same thing is happening with soccer.
USA couldn't give a **** about soccer, but look, this is the most popular sport in the world. so it doesn't really matter at this point, boxing will evolve in other parts of the world to the point where USA isn't even going to be a factor anymore, just like in soccer.

Actually US is a lot more popular here with soccer lately. A lot more so then hockey I would say.

that's only because of that overrated beckham. it's could be a temporary phase, or an introduction to soccer. either way, USA should be contributing to soccer much more than it currently is. USA has potential to be great at soccer, but they have no fundamentals nor a loyal fan base.
