No way man! Floyd dwarfs Pac! Unfair advantage for Gayweather! He runs the whole fight anyway, he could never beat a toe-to-toe demon like Pac! Para Sa'yo ang laban na'to mother****er!

So not fighting Mayweather at this point makes Pacquiao a coward according to the threadstarter.

If pound-for-pound is an overrated term, then "afraid of Mayweather" is ridiculous.

No way in hell are they going to fight right now based on weight alone. As you said, the difference in sizes has been pretty consistent. And so is their moving up a division.

Manny started his career in 1995 at 106. Mayweather was fighting at light flyweight in the amateurs in 1993.

(Manny's first bout, at the beginning of 1995)

They aren't that far apart in body growth... except Floyd kept moving up, drying out less and less for each fight, and Pacquiao has stayed in each class for as long as possible.
1993 Floyd was flyweight 1995 Manny was 106 taking into consideration Floyd is 2 years older than him I would say that their body growth should be at least close. This fight can definitely made and it SHOULD be made at some point and time.

It's as close as they've ever been in terms of popularity, pound for pound ratings, height and weight. There's no reason it shouldn't happen, unless Pac decides to continue to pick on up and comers or retiring warriors.

Check my previous post. I said Guzman or Marquez could beat Pac.

Don't be so bitter. Someone's going to beat Pac eventually.

If Mayweather runs, Pac can cut off the ring. Or put his back on the ropes, or put him in a corner, or utilize clean effective countering. There are many ways Pacquiao could fight Mayweather. The sad fact is he won't.
