Wait... Do you talk about malignaggi because he has a belt?? Quick - without looking - which belt does paulie have?

Do you talk about Cintron/Williams because there's a belt on the line?

I'm a firm believer that the fighter makes the belt. Casamayor is my champion. Not Diaz.

      Dominicano,

Casa is the champ but at his stage do u honestly think he stays on his feet for 12 hard rounds against Diaz despite his dirty tactics e.g neck punching, head butting etc.

We could get back to some real boxing then.
If you cut out the supers and juniors and got back to one belt, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for fighters like Mayweather to pick and choose "champs" and rack up 5 belts in different divisions.

THAT IT EXACTLY RIGHT. The cynical "superstar" system would be destroyed and we could get back to who is truly the MAN at each weight. This adds credibility and interest that the sport has not seen in many, many years.

would it? He beat the legit 130 guy. The legit 135 guy. The legit 140 guy is in 32 days. He beat the legit 147 guy. He beat a top 2 or 3 guy at 154 (and WOULD have beat the legit 154 champ). Please explain to me how this is wrong.

I understand what you are saying. But a better example is Hatton's 147 belt. Or Oscar's 160 belt. Baldomir was the champion. Collazo was not. Sturm was not.

              Noooo. EXACTLY WRONG.

In which of these weight classes did mayweather not fight the linear/legit champion:

              130?
              135?
              140? (next)
              147?

You said the magic words in the first four words.

You are the champion until somebody beats you in the ring....right? This is boxing. Right?

Wait a minute. Stop defending your idol. You have a decent thread going. Don't destroy your own thread by being hypocritical. Floyd is the modern day king of the business plan and you know it. The issue here has nothing to do with his talent which is admittedly admirable.

Mayfeather fought Mitchell, Judah, and Baldomir at 147 INSTEAD of Mosley, Williams or Cotto. Do you honestly believe if there was only one belt that any of those first 3 clowns could beat any of the second three?

I thought for a sec there you were going to claim that DLH was the LEGIT guy at 154 ROFL. ONE fight in 3 years which was against Mayorga (rofl.)
