There is a user here who has both fighters in his sig. That user knows talent when he sees it. They both have one hell of a future and will hold up the sport when the time comes.

Emanuel Steward also tends to ruin fighters through excessive gym wars. I have no doubt in my mind that Andy Lee will have a very short career due to the amount and type of sparing Steward involves him in.

I attribute Tommy Hearns current condition directly to Emanuel Stewards method of training fighters.

Throwing fighters into gym wars with fighters like Kermit Cintron and Jermaine Taylor is not how you promote longevity.

I think Andy Lee will make a flash in the proverbial pan, but he wont last long. He has already engaged in the kinds of wars inside the gym that led Diego Corrales to be a shell of his former self at only 29 years of age.
What is Hearns current condition? I honestly dont know, I just know he was an ATG from old fight tapes.

From what I've heard, steward actually tries to keep guys chilled out when they get overly competitive in sparring sessions.

You say he cant train guys from scratch, but isnt that how he got to where he is today? Hearns had a very long and successful career, so why would Lee be a flash in the pan? I guess I'm just not sure where this comes from, because I've not heard this before. I mean, I heard there's some Kronk gym battles, but nothing over the top. I think sparring the best would prepare you for the best, no?

Things I like about Lee, He cuts the distance well and puts alot into his shots. throws good straight shots.

Things I dont like, he keeps his right hand by his waist, he needs to set up his power punches with a Jab. If he dosent develop his Jab he will never have a chance against Pavlik, who will eat him up with his Jab alone.
