Mosley. He has more explosive KO power than Cotto who's just heavy handed & wears you down.

Mosley demonstrates his power in Wright II.

Shane hurts and frustrates Winky enough for Wright to lower the guard.

Upon doing so; Wright is hurt again, and changes his mind rather suddenly about dropping his hands and allowing the powerful Mosley to unload..

that said however- i don't see cotto being hard for mosley to hit. and i've said before that unless cotto comes into this fight with some new tricks for his defense i see him getting blasted like vargas did. vargas and cotto are both forward fighters who are very imposing- and as we've seen that plays into mosley's offense pretty perfectly.

no KO against collazo- fundamentally sound and good southpaw boxer
no KO/win against Winky- one of the best defensive fighters there is and a southpaw
no KO/win against Forrest- tall southpaw boxer
no KO against Estrada or Cruz- neither fighter had ever been KO'd up to their fights with mosley, and mosley was coming off losses to winky
no KO against Oscar- oscars only been stopped by B-Hop, kind of a big size difference here.

all i'm trying to point out is that i have a little trouble seeing cotto presenting the kinds of problems that have overcome mosley in the past. he's a come forward orthodox fighter who can be hit.
the only legitamit thing that could fold mosley up is his age, but watch his last fight and it's hard to picture that factoring in as well.
You make it seem like these people in bold are even world class legit fighters.

So Andre Berto hits harder than Mosley? I know Kermit Cintron does. Collazo? Hatton knocked him down. So did Mosley, just didn't finish the fight when he could've.

Oscar got stopped by Bhop.. Ok... Big size advantage? That's nothing. It was a body shot and fixed. lol

In Cotto's last 10 fights; he has 9 KO's, with the only decision coming against Malignaggi. In Mosley's last 10 fights; he has only 2 KO's, both of them being Vargas. I know Mosley's level of competition has been much higher than Cotto, but those stats are hard to ignore. I just dont think that Mosley has the kind of power he used to have in his prime. I think in this place and time, Cotto has more power than Mosley.

So even though you admit Mosely's comp has been much better than Cotto's you ignore it still. Could Cotto KO Forrest? Hell no, I'd be willing to out up real money than Forrest stops Cotto within 6. It would sort of look like Hearns & Duran. Could Cotto KO DLH, Winky, & Collazo? I highly doubt. Now ask youself this question. Could Mosley KO Cotto's last 10 opponents? I'll leave you with that.

Very well said. I agree with you, completely. Mosley has a bit more one punch power.

I would have to go with Cotto as the heavier handed harder puncher. Shanes punches are quicker and catch you off guard, but you can't count the Vargas KO's because Fernando is extremely war ridden and doesn't move at all anymore, plus he has taken some bad losses to Trinidad and Oscar at that point. Don't get me wrong I am a huge Vargas fan, but he had taken a lot of punishment at the point that he and Mosley fought. Other than the Vargas fight he hasn't been a real power puncher since he left lightweight, altough his hands are still fast but as far as power I would give the edge to Cotto. His punches are punishing and over the period of a long fight wear you down.

                      No, Mosley couldn't.
