Well, that's just a whole load of **** all.

Anyway, I'm warming to Kessler. Unlike his countrymen on here he seems a classy guy. I hope he recovers well after this fight to dominate the division.

They're just saying that given his much longer tittle run, it's surprising he's not more ahead than that.

If it seems to you that Joe is getting less respect than Kessler - it is perhaps because ppl expect more of Calzaghe, given his 10 year run.
i think partly due to him not fighting so much is that his hands need time to heal. he's had over 100 amateur fights and 40+ pro fights.with hte amount of punches he throws i think it's caused him some long term damage to his hands. that with a divorce aswell.

both are good but joe has the advantage against kessler for sure. joe has a good jab but kessler better.

Calzaghe: "I Have To Be At My Best To Win This Fight"

And now we are back to discussing who they fought? **** that.

The only guy I find missing on Joe résumé over the past ten years is RJJ, and you can hardly blame Joe alone for that fight not being made.
Since Kessler got his belt, he has fought the very best he could get.
Those who still want to argue, at least tell us who else you miss on their record.

All that matters is the fight ahead.

If Calzaghe wins this fight, he solidifies himself as the best ever at 168 lbs, in my opinion. There is nothing else he could have done, I agree wholeheartedly with Peder, not fighting RJJ was not his fault alone.

Let's just hope this fight happens, amidst reports of Kessler's illness and Cal's track record of training camp injuries...

Kessler's ill? When was this mentioned? I don't want any excuses.

I'm worried about the lack of news from Calzaghe's camp. He's usually suffered some form of mild break by now.

Take it from what it's worth, someone in Dan Rafael's chat last Friday said that the Danish press reported last week that Kessler missed a week of training because he was down with the flu. If anyone wants to try to dig up an article from a Danish website, that would be great...I'll see what I can find.

                  This may be it:

Ingen panik trods feber hos Kessler

                  Offentliggjort 04.10.07 kl. 12:06

                  _______________________

Plugged into a translator it says there was a "feber" (fever?) problem with Kessler but there is no panic in the camp and it has been "fixed".

Hmmm...who knows...there are several articles in Danish on Kessler almost daily here:

                  Search "Kessler".

The more Joe gets hit, the more preasure he will aply! The thing is with Joe he hates anyone getting the better of him. If Kessler won round 2-3 then in the fourth onwards Joe would be pulling out all the stops, And I do believe we will see the best Of Calzaghe in this fight.

I will be ringside for this one! The wait for this fight has dragged, But theres only a few weeks to go now, God I cant wait..
