De La Hoya opts for tune up fight

Just watching an interview with Oscar which started off about golden boy buying ring magazine. They started asking him about himself towards the end and he said he plans to be very active in 2008.

If he wins a couple more world titles how would you rate him and his legacy?

DLH is done. I can't see him beating Mayweather again who will beat Hatton. He won't fight Cotto, so is he going to fight? Mosley if he beats Cotto?

Oscar Vs Williams (I can't imagine how Oscar can't see a W and cash behind those soft long arms of Paul's, I can see Oscar workin his way in with ease.)

Oscar Vs Cintron (if he'll fight Puerto Rican/Americans)

Oscar vs Hatton (For a tune up, cause Hatton's not gettin by Mayweather)

Oscar Vs Forrest (Highly unlikely..but still a good fight, both seem to have lost the same amount of their skill)

I would'nt count him out of either of those fights, aslong as he stays healthy and fit.

I think Oscar is trying to pick up an anticipated slack in GBP's activities in the next couple of years. GBP's contract stars are ageing and the young ones are not catching up fast enough. One of his big draws--Marco--has retired.

GBP's latest addition to its stable is Casamayor-- not exactly someone who's career still looks a long way ahead.

On the other hand, Arum has Pavlik, Cotto and Pacquiao. The first has just started his future, the second has an opportunity to make his name even bigger, while the last can reasonably expect a few more number of years of stardom. And, whatever one says about Margarito, Castillo and Arce, they do sell some tickets. And there's Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.-- where his skills may not sell in the future, his name may.

Of course GBP still has JMM but then, can JMM really become a draw? If he can, for how long?

                  If not JMM...Guzman, perhaps?

Israel needs Rafa for his future. After Rafa what?

Oscar will have do things himself...
