being 5 lbs heavier makes him that much bigger? or is he a weight drained welterweight taking on super feathers? which is it?
Are you saying he was drained? I'm not sure I understand what your getting at, because I clearly stated that he could have comfortably been fighting at 135 or even 140 years prior to 08.

no. when pacquiao fights bigger opposition that cuts weight. you say they are drained.

when pacquiao fights at 130. you say he's cutting massive amount of weight to get the advantage.

      which is it?

which is it nature boy? or you just contradicting yourself again?
Your asking an irrelevant question and not making any point. If your understood muscle hypertrophy, then you would get my point.

Let me ask you this question...

How was Paul williams able to Ko Carlos Quintanas in 2 rounds at WW(147), then in a little over 90 days later KO Andy Kollie in 1 round at MW(160)?

So by your logic was Paul Williams "drained" in the Quintana fight, or was he the naturally bigger guy?

            no my question isnt irrelevant.

you say pacquiao cut weight to get the advantage over barrera and morales. but in the same token you say fighters that cut weight to fight pacquiao are drained. you are contradicting yourself.

and to answer your question. paul williams was a big ww, and it gave this 1 dimentional fighter a advantage. when he moved up he got knocked the **** out.

fighters cut weight to get the size advantage. yes pacquiao was bigger than morales and barrera. BUT how are guys that are cutting weight to fight pacquiao.. dont have the advantage?! why are they weight drained? thats my question.

            • you just say anything thats convenient to trash pacquiao.

pacquiao cuts to 130= hes fighting smaller guys and taking advantage of his size

pacquiao fights bigger guys that cut weight= hes weight draining them and thats the only reason why hes winning.

which is it? its gotta be 1 or the other

I post this question because I keep reading Pacquiao fans saying Pac would annihilate Mayweather, if so, why not move up?

The only real fights left in his division is a Marquez rematch, and a war with Katsidis. Guzman is an overrated hype job who will get KTFO when he steps up in competition like Rey Bautista did, and he hasn't even earned a shot at Manny.

So why not just move up? The competition is there, the fights are there, and if he wants to be considered an all time great, his legacy requires it.

I really don't remember posting in this thread at all. lol
How naive was I to think Guzman deserved to face Pacquiao back then though.

I had really high hopes for Guzman. Shame that Bringer was right, and he turned out to be hype. I still think he's a good fighter, all the weight issues is what killed it for him though.

more of lack of discipline or not fighting in the right division...

he fought at LW then weighing 155-160 at fightnight, he should fight minimum at 140 or now he is older at 147...

                    • Precious thread. I hope this gets a bump until Pac retires...

If manny didnt move up, people would think that those fighters are still at their best. Anyway, just my 2 cents...
