Sergio should be fighting at 168, minimum.
Donaire should be fighting at 140, at the very least.
They're right up there in pound for pound and all...

Cotto had just been destroyed when Arum set up a match between him and Michael Jennings for the VACANT WBO belt. Cotto won and lost that vacant belt to Pacquiao in the very next match. Cotto was NOT a legitimate champion to pass on a legitimate championship to Pacquiao.
The match against Jamili was simply a fight for a vacant belt.

Anyone with half a brain could check it out for themselves. Then again, we are talking about Putatang here.
This was all explained in my previous post.
My post laid it all out. The only thing my post did not mention was that the last time Pacquiao faced a top 3 champion was in 2008 against Marquez. What has he been doing in the last 3 years?

when pacquiao fights at 130. you say he's cutting massive
which is it?
losing 10% of water in your body, does not automatically create muscle or organ failure nor does it inhibit one energy level within a 24 hour period if properly re-hydrated.
the answer to you question is yes, cutting weight properly while competing 2 division south of the weight your body was intended for is an advantage.

pacquiao cuts to 130= hes fighting smaller guys and taking advantage of his size
pacquiao fights bigger guys that cut weight= hes weight draining them and thats the only reason why hes winning.

and to answer your question. paul williams was a big ww, and it gave this 1 dimentional fighter a advantage. when he moved up he got knocked the **** out.
fighters cut weight to get the size advantage. yes pacquiao was bigger than morales and barrera. BUT how are guys that are cutting weight to fight pacquiao.. dont have the advantage?! why are they weight drained? thats my question.
Paul Williams wasn't a big WW he's a MW, and he was just better at cutting water weight in training, and was looking to parlay that technique and advantage into a large payday at WW. Same thing your guy Pacquiao did @ 126-130, instead of comfortably making 135 and taking on guys like Castillio, Corrales. Same thing he did at 112 to avoid Saraphrom and Nishioka at 118, which he skipped altogether to go fight at 122.Last edited by The Nature Boy; 10-06-2011, 08:04 AM.
