Criticism follows every fighter and there's certainly no shortage of critics on this message board. It's no secret I'm a Barrera fan and I was highly disappointed in Marco's behavior and fight plan on the night of the fight. Upon further reflection I do not feel disappointed anymore, but at peace with Barrera's legacy.

The fans lost because we didn't see anything, there was no fireworks, just one or two small sizzles as the curtain closed on another legendary boxing career.

if you'd rather him not risk his health to please you why refer to the fight as a "bomb" "no fireworks" or compare it to "watching paint dry". also why were you disappointed with his fight plan (running not risking his health) would you rather him traded with pac. if you were a true fan of barrera you would have been gratious for his last hoorah.
oh and as a fan of the pac man i didn't lose, i had my money on him

I bet real money on Pacquiao to win, and points on Barrera to win. So I won in terms of real cash. And I was disappointed with Marco's fight plan, because he could've done something to win while also not trading with Pac. He could've boxed more, he could've let his hands go when he was at an angle on Pacquiao and straffed him with a flurry or two.

There was a way Marco could've made the fight closer while still not risking his health, and that's what I was disappointed with. I'm not disappointed that he didn't war with Pac, I would've been very saddened if he had.

that makes me think why rudy left MAB's training team... They planned to stay away from Pacquiao and finish the fight on both feet and not really win the fight. Maybe the reason why perez didn't take the job.

For some reason I can't make my own threads

Anyways though, It was like Barrera vs the people who called the fight..

Seriously, what did these old bored bastards want? For Barrera to get KO'ed? He completely nullified Paqiaous over hyped offense with brilliant footwork. That's what makes Barrera, Barrera. He didn't take any unnecessary chances and risk a embarrasing KO cause these old wrinkled grey haired douche bags wanted some sort of excitement, lol **** what a couple of grey haired douche hammers want out of a fight. One's a failed actor, and the other is a troll, and the other guy sounds like Clevand from Family guy. (lol)
Barrera went out of his way to keep from gettin KO'ed. He aint ******, Barrera just couldn't explode off his feet like he use too, he created numerous moments for himself to do so, but he either held back completely, or tried but was just too slow to be succesfull. Wich ended up to be the perfect performance, given his depleted talents.

It wasn't a "horrible way to leave the sport," or a "horrible performance."

A horrible perfomance would be considered when Jim Lampley tried to seriously express his desire to be a singer back in the 80's during one of his little moments of alone time he gets during a broadcast of a fight, someone should get that **** from youtube.
