THE GUY gets KNOCKED DOWN 3 TIMES...

And you STILL critisize him for not being able to knock McCline out?!?!?!?!

Do you guys have any idea how much that takes out of a fighter???

There were moments in the third round when Peter could HARDLY stand!!!!!

I agree but he was prepared to go to war with Oleg Maskaev not this no named can. Sam Peter obviously under estimated him like he did with Toney in their first fight. When he is on he knocks Wladimir Klitschko and James Toney on their ass.

      Exactly, which is pretty sad.
McCline is a journeyman who would get absolutly dominated by every top heavyweight, yet not only did Peter struggle, or have minor difficulty, he got dropped 3 times and won a close, controversial decision.
Huge blow to Peters stock and his claims hes a top heavyweight, because he sure as hell didnt show it.

Whatever, just proves that Peter is OVER-HYPED clubber!

Besides having 3 knock down, he should have had at least one and likely two points deducted for his dirty tricks...

How many times did he hit McCline behind the head???
How many times did he hit McCline after the bell??
How many times did he get away with low blows???

NO I criticise him becasue he is an OVER HYPED Slugger with not very much skill. and over rated Chin.. Over rated power.. And i have to listen to people tell me he is the future..

The future laughing stock.. ok.. But the future of the division?... Only a poor sport yank could think such a silly thing...

come on yall, give him some credit. McCline may be a journeyman, but lets give him his due...stylistically, any boxer can handle McCline. but remember that McCline was beating Valuev before his injury, and he DOES punch very hard. hes a big, strong guy! the punches that he landed on Sam Peter would have knocked out a good majority of heavyweights.

problem? McCline should NOT have been able to hit Peter with those punches. give Sammy some credit, he did go on to win basically every round after the ones he got knocked down in, which is an accomplishment considering what he had been through.

Sam needs HUGE work on his defence however. apparently his jaw aint as invincible as everyone thought, even though he still has a hard noggin. at least keep your hands up Sam...I think an old school turtle shell defence would work well for him, hes slow and lumbering anyway.

                  exactly.

quitali could barely stand so he cancelled the fight.

peter could barely stand, but withstood the onslaught and won the fight.
