I never bet on a fighter because he is black ... hell, in my opinion , may the best man win... of course people have their favorite fighters ... mine happens to be shane mosley and i do not like shane because he is black, i like shane because i have followed his whole career ... growing up , people like michael jordan and **** like that, well i like shane mosley ,always have and always will ... but for all the non biast reasons ... when kelly beat taylor , i was happy as **** ... i thought taylor might win but im glad he lost because i was sick of taylor's ***** ass... but all this "I'm going to ride this fighters **** because he's hispanic is whack" ...

and now a lot of puertoricans ...are picking cotto to win because he is puertorican ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Of course Mexicans are going to root for Mexicans, Americans for Americans, and Puerto Ricans for Puerto Ricans.

Would you root for another country's team in the Olympics?

I am white and I hate all white fighters, especially WLAD, he is a white devil and he should be hanged for his sins.

A lot of people do for sure. Especially on these forums. Its most evident to me with hatton fans. I'm white and I'm a redneck. So I should be going for the white guy right? Wrong. I'm going for Floyd, I dont really care for him as a person but I like him as a fighter and think there is no way Hatton has a chance. You can tell though that a lot of people only pick fighters of their own race. Like if someone has their top ten fighters in their sig and all 10 of them are white, and they are white.... coincidence? I think not.

This is definately the case.

There are several posters who I will not name that pick only White fighters, and several posters who only pick Black fighters. Each is in their own respective group.

When it comes to these particular White posters who only pick Whites - they will substitute a Hispanic for a White fighter against a Black fighter if nescessary.

This is as far as I've tracked it..

They know who they are.

Patriotism and Racism are two different things. The brits thinking Ricky will pound Floyd is more patriotism than racism. They are just backing their own. However, in some cases this is the case when it's ignorant to choose a fighter just based on their skin color.
