Barrera gave Manny his first entertainment defeat

My god, that fight was so anti climatic. I told my friends I went to watch it with that it would be so good and action packed. 2 guys that love to trade, yadada. Then Barrera goes on his bicycle for 12 rounds with the occasional flurry. I didn't think Manny could be in a boring fight, but this was one of them. My one friend nearly fell asleep and the other one had more enjoyment playing with the pet dog than keeping his eyes on the tv. Really sucks for the most exciting fighter to be in a fight like this and lose entertainment value to those that don't really understand boxing. My friends were like, why doesn't Manny just run right at him bombing away? I'm like, it's not that easy.

Do you think Pac respects Barrera too much? I honestly wanted him to go off on Barrera. It might have made him fight a little bit more.

This is going to stay with Manny for a while, I feel bad for him but he did win so it doesn't send him back at all personally.

if you think that was bad, i was watching it on setanta and they lost the fight half way thru round 10 and didnt get it back till the last minute of rd 12. plus they didnt show what we missed afterwards, and they didnt describe any of it. **** fight i agree

the commentators kept saying that manny wasnt listening to freddie roach in his corner, wonder if there is a real rift, definately pac was cautious

Poor Manny was dragged down to Barrera's bicycle level.

its not that easy like you said, one thing is for sure old barrera can still punch and was counterpunching pacquiao. pacquiao felt barreras punches this time, so why would you give barrera a chance to hurt you jumping on him trying to bomb him away? cuz barrera had a good game plan. that is why pacquiao wasnt so agressive this time.

MAB did not run. He fought at a distance. And he was in front of Pacman.

A draw? In no way that fight was a draw.

God? Pac always do the cross when he fights.

Pac's reaction about the decision. Remember that Pac has never had a win by UD. Even Steward said something like that Pac fans should be worry cuz he never had a win by UD and the judges might go to MAB for the win. Even Roach was worried, that is why Roach wanted Pac to be more aggressive in the later rounds.

lol, I was watching Setanta too mate.

I thought I'd lose the rag if the fight cut off, but when it actually did...I didn't actually stress, which says a lot about the fight I guess.

i wonder fight were you watcing. MAB won at most 3 rounds in majority of the people who saw the "real" fight. It was evident that MAB's tactic was just to survive the fight and didn't want to engage PAC in a sustained war of agression. MAB flurried a few times but chose to back out in all of them and didn't want to get hurt. His corner's strategy was revealed when his trainer told him he won the first 3 rounds even though it was Pac who was winning at that point.

Manny tried to make the fight a slugfest, even whispering to Barrera's ears to provoke him to an all out war, and taunting him in most of the rounds but MAB obviously didn't want any piece of it. MAB was backing everytime Pac would appear to unleash his haymakers except for a very few times where he would engage Pac shortly and then backpedalled the rest of it. Pac on the other hand was clearly the aggressor and pushed the tempo of the fight but it was mainly MAB who made the fight a snoozer.

I don't blame him - Pac is one of the most dangerous fighters and finishers of his generation.
