How can Pavlik pack such power in a rather small frame?

Pavlik's power comes from his back believe it or not. He's got a strong back, and that's where he gets that pushing power in his arms that sends them out like sledgehammers. He's in no way a small guy though over 6 feet. He's a big guy, and he knows how to use his height in his power. You can see when he throws his killer punches that do serious damage, he has alittle forward lean to it. That helps get his weight behind the shots makes full use of his back muscles in the leverage.
Also like to mention, his legs is definitely not where he gets his power from. Some guys do, not this guy.

Pavlik has a small frame?? Since when does a 6'2 guy have a small frame?? Greater height basically equates to a bigger frame, if someone is taller than you, then they have a bigger frame than you and can carry more weight. Pavlik also has some broad shoulders so I don't know where this came from.

Small? I wouldn't call Pavlik small for a mw. It's just how he is built. A lot of the thin, wiry guys pack a lot of power. Hearns, Julian Jackson, Corrales are a few examples. You look at them and think, "this guy ain't ****", and all of a sudden, your looking at the arena lights getting counted out.

I think you got it right when you said "leverage", "his power comes from his back" and "punching technic". He's punching technic isn't pretty, but it's damn effective. It's also true you don't "see" his power, you feel it. I think he has some things to improve in his defense but he already punches like Bruce Lee. He prolly learned it in school fights? He doesn't look like your ordinary fighter. He may be big but he looked smaller to me because he doesn't look like a fighter, i don't know, he just looks like someone's son or maybe that's just because he's new, 24 or 25 i think.

Pavlik small that's one of the dumbest things I have heard on here, Pavlik is one of the Biggest Middleweights of all time.

There are only two guys who can handle Pavlik's power Calzaghe and possibly Andrade. Calzaghe because he can avoid the shots, and Andrade because he has one of the best chins I have ever seen, Pavlik has KO'd Iron chins though so actually he probably would KO Andrade.

He's not a small guy, with a little frame. If he can beat Taylor again then im convinced he is the real deal.
