One reason why Floyd can afford to lose now is because HBO has a new face in the spotlight who is much more marketable.
And is prepared to take on the best in his division.

      I am not biased either.
I prefer to see past the hype of quite a few so called P4P fighters that just happened to be HBO poster boys.
      Mayweather included.
I can openly admit he is a skillfull fighter and did an excellent job before moving up to 140 147 154 ,,,,,,,,
He has avoided much tougher opponents on his way to so called "Greatness".
      That is a FACT.
Hatton has faced the best at 140 and won.
He could only face what was there and I agree to some extent on his level of opponents.
BUT now he has the chance to fight better opponents himself which I openly admit.
And Hatton V Floyd is a step in the right direction for both fighters.
Whoever wins this fight will get my full respect.
I'm just sick and tired of hearing Floyd and his Nuthugger totally go over the top saying he is the Best fighter out there when his competition of the last 5 years says otherwise.

Afford to or not- Floyd is in the deep water now. If he loses this fight, it will not bode well for his lagacy, but he will have a chance to redeem himself.

Floyd won't fight Hatton again if he is brutalised, his ego won't let him risk another beating-he will say it was luck and line up another ten chumps to prove it!

          .
You need to start following the sport. Seriously.

Ricky has been at 140 for the past TEN YEARS. Over that time here is the lion's share of the best guys who were at 135/140:

castillo, Corrales, Corley, Judah, gatti, mayweather, lazcano, Casamayor, Tszyu, Witter. Freitas, Raheem, Campbell, Forbes, Malignaggi, Harris, etc.

Hiow many of those guys did Hatton fight IN THEIR PRIME??

          NOT. A. ****IN'. ONE.

But he fought a 38 year old Freddie Pendleton with 25 losses, a 36 yr old Kostya Tszyu, a 34 yr old shot-to-pieces castillo, A FORTY YEAR OLD VINCE PHILLIPS, etc...

Yeah... Ricky fought the best at 140... right.

Yeah... he got "respected" all the way into a fight on FNF.

And what is his next fight again?? Remind me.

            LMAO.

If he loses it would be his own damn fault cause he's doing that dancing show while training. I don't care how good he is. he should be completely focused on this fight.

He fought and beat the man considered the best at 140 and who at the time of their fight was considered p4p# 2.
Not that I count P4P as it is meaningless.
That is a FACT whether you like it or not.

He has no legacy to speak with. A few years after his retirement people won't even remember his name.
