Sharmba Mitchell - Sharmba was so terrible as a PBF opponent, that he had lost twice in the previous ten years. Both times to Kostya Tszyu. He was so terrible as an opponent that Paul Williams decided to fight him A YEAR after Floyd did.

Zab Judah - He was so terrible as an opponent that even after fifteen months of inactivity, Miguel Cotto STILL called Zab his toughest opponent and his best win. Zab was so terrible as an opponent that he is CURRENTLY ranked as the #5 welterweight by RING magazine. And #9 by WBA. And #5 by IBF. And #9 by WBO.

Carlos Baldomir - He was so terrible as an opponent that Vernon Forrest chose to fight him a year after Floyd. And at a higher weight. And said that Baldomir was tough. And Vernon couldn't hurt Carlos. Over 12 rounds.

Oscar DeLaHoya - He was so terrible as an opponent, and so washed up that Ricky Hatton wants to fight Oscar next summer - a year after Floyd fought Oscar. Oscar was so terrible as an opponent that he is CURRENTLY ranked as the #3 JMW in the world. After losing to Mayweather. And ranked # 1 by WBC. And #1 by WBO.

And previously, PBF fought guys such as

Castillo - a guy who was 5 years and several losses younger than the version that Ricky Hatton faced.

Corrales - A guy who was ranked top 5 p4p, and went on to get wins over Casamayor, Freitas and Castillo. A top 2-3 guy at LW for YEARS.

    Chavez - a perennial top 5 lightweight.

Manfredy - a perennial top five SFW

Corley - a guy who fought Witter for the title last year.

The weak link of opposition on this list is Arturo Gatti....and PBF wiped his ass with Gatti.
Yes. Floyd has crappy opposition. The American boxing clings to him and considers him their finest in a time that American boxing is an at all-time low. The HW is dominated by the Europeans, PAC is tearing the featherweights apart with the Latins esp. the Mexicans getting a solid foothold. The only bright light seems to be on Pavlik, but that is yet to be truly seens as his reign as a middleweight champion will be tested with his defenses.

American boxing overrates PBF because it has no one else to cling to. PBF on his part handpicks safe opponents and has chosen to duck Freitas, Casamayos, Margarito, etc. Opponents too dangerous for him to face.

I agree. Only a ***** would bypass Freitas at 130/135 to go fight Judah at 147 and Oscar at 154.

      ****in' ducker.

        Jim "wants" another job.
        Jim "is seeking" another job.

If you don't understand the difference, then let's just stop where we are. You win. Cong****. Go party.

Listen Floydboy. We can go back and forth all day. I just felt you were making it out to be that Hatton was looking to secure a fight with Oscar in 08, when in fact it was the other way around. Oh well.

          .
So moving up in weight for the 1st time to fight Oscar isn't convincing. Fighting in a samller ring with Reyes gloves and giving Oscar every advantage before the fight isn't convincing....so i guess coming in the ring at fight night weighing 148 lbs for Jr MW title fight sure as hell isn't convincing

Yeah. Only a ***** and an idiot will duck Freitas and Casamayor at their time.

And I'm amazed Fake Floyd did so.

We all know who Judah is so there's no need to explain.

And everybody who knows boxing knows that Hoya is washed up and let's no even talk how old DLH is now.

            Good observation. Keep it up.

Pavlik already has heavy shoulders and a big burden to carry. His pedigree will surely be tested.

If you read my post you will see that I gave Floyd props for the achievement, but the manner of the victory was not terribly spectacular. It strikes me that Floyd wins all of his fights but he never does so in an outstanding manner.

Hatton can keep plucking all the AARP members he wants. There's a reason he isn't respected.

You have become boring...Run along now.
