Kessler is one of the best fighters in the world. Period. If you've never heard of him, that says more about you than this fight.

How good is Kessler? Interesting question. Before the fight was made Kessler was talked about as if he was God. People said JC was chicken and trying to avoid Kessler because Kessler was so dangerous in the hope it would make JC sign on the dotted line.
But if JC beats Kessler....Kessler is the second coming of Lacy, and werent all that good afterall. Just another overrated bum.

If Calzaghe beats Kessler, he beats him and it should impress everyone. Granted, board monkeys will dog MK, but they shouldn't. This is clearly an excellent fighter, probably the best JC has ever faced and MK was better than Lacy (and ranked higher by Ring for a reason) the whole time. I was writing that before Lacy-Cal and I was right.

How Kessler evolved into a 7 foot giant with shovels for fists is hilarious. Kessler is the one going to Wales and Joe isn't. For that reason alone I like Kessler.

May be when this all over Calzaghe can find another overhyped American to beat the **** out of or alternatively another Contender kid. In any scenario Joe never leaves Wales. And Kessler win or lose has proven he has the sack to put up both his titles and leave home. Something Joe has yet to and likely never will do.

To his credit Joe is a good boxer. As a competitor and a guy with more nuts Kessler already won in my opinion.

              Ah yes.

Of course those of us who have been paying attention know why this fight isn't happening in Copenhagen. And it's got everything to do with Kessler ****tard of a manager not being able to back up his offer. If I was Kessler I'd be looking at some new representation pretty sharpish.

Of course you're right, Calzaghe has never fought outside Wales. Apart from over half of his contests which have been outside there of course.

Actually, Calzaghe has fought out of the UK a couple of times and Kessler has traveled before as well, for Mundine no less. How many times has Oscar or Floyd traveled out of the U.S.? And Kessler is no 7-foot giant. He's just a very good young fighter and a breath of fresh air compared to the AARP circuit the last few years and this Saturday in chapter whatever of the Great Mexican Farewell tour.

No one cares in Denmark. Point blank no one cares.

And allow me to restate it, despite his obvious reluctance to leave Wales. Calzaghe has managed to find his way out of it to outlying tiny island of the Uk. And out of the ountry exactly twice.

A tiny island in which he's made big money. Apart from the real megafights, there's really no point in him going to the US for the hell of it as he'd be financially worse off for doing so. He'd have gone for Jones or Hopkins (and no doubt will should he get past Kessler) but why else would he bother.

Most of his fights are outside of Wales.
