    Kelly Pavlik vs Jake LaMotta

Can you imagine how great this 1950's old school throwback fight would be, there is no way this wouldn't be a FOTY. As we all know, LaMotta has one of the greatest chins of all time and he never stops coming forward. I don't know if LaMotta's chin would be able to hold up to Kelly's bombs for 12-15 rounds, Kelly is about 6-7 inches taller than LaMotta and he has a serious reach advantage. I love Jake LaMotta to death and Raging Bull is my favourite boxing movie, but I say Pavlik TKO's LaMotta on his feet in another version of the Valentines Day Massacre.

Kelly Pavlik won't knockdown LaMotta, but I can see him getting pinned up against the ropes like Taylor,Miranda, and Zertuche forcing the ref to jump in and save the courageous LaMotta in around the 10th or 11th round.

Pavlik beat Jermain Taylor, LaMotta beat Ray Robinson.

But apart from that, LaMotta was a huge middleweight with an atg chin, exactly the kind of guy that Pavlik would be helpless against.

This is almost as bad as your Hagler thread.

LaMotta wasn't that big of a puncher and he had short huge stubby arms, I think Pavlik would outbox LaMotta and tee off on him all night long. You say LaMotta is a huge Middleweight, I guess you forgot that Pavlik is the BIGGEST Middleweight of all time. I love LaMotta, but he was Overrated,

de niro's power and chin are too much and he stops pavlik despite his lack of defense.

jake lamotta though may be a different story.
