Calzaghe Vs Kessler can't wait !!

Its on november the 2nd right? a month from today. This night is going to be the best night of the year for boxing fans. Its probably the biggest fight we have had in about 3 years or so in boxing. Awesome stuff.

Another question, has Kessler ever been dropped in amateur fights?

Come now... are there not enough threads about "The Ghost" already?

For real, I am hella excited about this fight. SOMEONE'S 0 MUST GO!

Not to mention this is the true unification of the division.

I can't wait either...I'm leanin towards Calzaghe tho'....Kessler looks somewhat robotic... tho I admire his explosive counters and I question his defense especially how offensively Joe can turn it up..

but man, Kessler definitely has a puncher's chance especially with that right hand of his....it comes outta no where...Kessler's style somewhat reminds me of a young hopkins...

          It’s Nov. 3!

          Kessler's amateur career:

47 amateur fights, and 3 looses (on points). European junior champ once, Danish champ 5 times, and Nordic champ.
Got a special permit from the Danish Justice department to fight pro @ age 19, because of his talent and the need to face good opposition. (that's why you can count 20 fights in his first two years as a pro. They wanted him to mature in a better league than the Danish amateurs)

Kessler does'nt know what he's gotten himself into. His only chance is to land a huge right hand bomb, which I don't think will happen.

            Calzaghe by wide UD

Fair enough both Kessler and Calzaghe are freakishly talented.

rumour has it calzaghe only lost once in the amateurs and that was a home decision! kinda like roy jones 1! in ukraine! he won the aba title 4 years in a row at 3 different weights! of all the super fights taking place even hatton against mayweather i think this is the one 2 watch!

The only way Joe loses this fight is if his Hands of chalk break again.

The "special permit" you're talking about is actually not so special. While it's true that you have to be 21 to fight pro in Denmark, I don't know of ANYONE who's apllied for dispensation of that rule, who haven't been granted it. Recent 19 year olds with less than stellar amateur records who were allowed to turn pro, are Thomas Povlsen (one of my fighters is 2-0 against him)and Kim Poulsen(another of my fighters is 2-0 against him). Hardly world champ material...
