I cant believe how quickly a positive post turned so negative, and I also cant believe that people are celebrating genocide and oppression by debating who got the worst of it. Let's face it the Spanish were a bunch of *******s and any hate should be directed at them instead of each other.
I dont know alot about Filipino history, but as far as the Conquistadores in Mexico are concerned, one of the MAJOR reasons they were able to defeat the aztec army is because they had tens of thousands of indian allies fighting with them (which the spaniards often didnt mention when writing their version of history). But the biggest reason the Indians had trouble resisting is the fact that much of the indigenous population was wiped out and severely weakened by "Old world" diseases which they had no immunity to. (I'm assuming most of the Asian populaton had been exposed to them by that point just like the Europeans).
Another thing, the Conquistadores were certainly all about pillaging and **** when they first arrived, but many Spanish began arriving as settlers afterward and also intermarried with the local population. That's why the majority of Mexicans have some Spanish blood. By the time Mexico fought for its independence, many Mexicans of pure Spanish, Mesitizo, and Indian blood were fighting on the same side.
Anyway, the way I see it, Mexico turned the tables on Spain. The Spanish were once one of the most dominant countries in the world, now they're only known for running with the bulls and having an annual tomato fight. Mexico on the other hand is the largest and most influential Spanish speaking country in the world today and there are actually more native spanish speakers in the world than native english speakers. Oh and by the way, there are still over 60 languages spoken in Mexico today (including aztec nahuatl). Spanish just happens to be the unofficial official one, and it's a good thing there is one official language otherwise Mexicans of Spanish, Mestizo, and Indian descent would all be speaking different languages and there wouldnt be as much unity. It's similar to the U.S., the majority of the population isnt directly of English descent, they're comprised of different Europeans, Africans, Asians and Lations. So are Americans somehow bowing down to England by speaking English? Of Course not. Anyway, it would be ridiculous if Mexicans somehow tried to purge themselves of Spanish culture when it is essentially part of who we are. For example, I have ancestors on both sides of my family who are Spanish born.
Oh and there's one more issue I wanted to address, we Mexicans dont have small penises so dont try hanging that one us, lol

And we filipiinos don't sell fruits on the streets.
We don't push icecream cart in the middle of a scorchin sunny day.....
We don't hang out in front of home depot praying for some gringos to pick us up to do mow their ****in lawn for 5 bucks..
We don't line up for food stamps.
We don't **** our wn children.
We graduate from highschool and go to colleges..
We don't cross the border.......we actually pay for a plane ticket.
