i think he also did recover quickly and prob would have been knocked out in the tenth. but there was a good 1:20 secs where he was a sitting duck, and taylor should have been able to perform a onslaught that would have sent him out for good.

Maybe I need to watch the fight again, but I saw Taylor going ape **** on Pavlik, and trying to take him out. If he hadnt have thrown a lot of punches, we'd be hearing things like "he stopped throwing" "If only Jermain had tried to finish him!" Same **** they said about Judah vs. Cotto.

Pavlik survived, and Taylor didn't. Simple as that.

No, I dont think anyone else could have dropped Pavlik like that, nevermind finished him.

I think if Taylor placed his punches better he would have put him out. Or made the ref stop it. He just swung wildly. He should have thrown some measurement punches out to get his distance. All it would have took is about 4 huge punches unanswered and it would have been over.

More then likely a better finisher would have. But Taylor has the speed, reach, and power to easily handle Pavlik. It's just Taylor doesn't know how to utilize his talents. And I don't think Steward is helpin the situation, Taylor needs to be taught how to throw a right hand, not a jab. He's always had a jab, it's his right hand thats garbage. So's his foot work, his movement, and his ability to see openings.

I think Steward has Taylor lacking confidence and has him thinking too much. Look at Taylor when he's just standin there in the ring with his hands down, he looks like he's tryin to do ****in algerbra in his head or somthin. Like he's holding a fat dookie in or somthing. He's thinkin too much, when he's not thinkin and he's feeling it, he'll do what he did 2 rounds before he got KO'ed, he'll move and jab. Now he needs to step it up more and throw some straight right hands, not haymaker right hands. Give angles, some faints, and just get in that boxing groove and let his talents take control. Instead of layin back waitin on his talents.

Am I mistaken or was Taylor heavier weight and come down?

He has always been about the same, think highest he fought was 166. I personally think hes just put on more muscle. And making weight is directly related to his problem with stamina. The guy didnt look like he had any fat on his body. I dont really think being that cut up is good for your endurance. He should move up to super middleweight or maybe even light heavyweight.

The punches from Pavlik didnt affect Taylor at all in the early rounds. But he showed signs of being gassed out a bit because he wasnt throwing as many hard shots, he was just jabbing for the most part. I think thats what got him knocked out.
